ప్రకృతితో స్నేహంగా మెలిగితేనే మంచి భవిష్యత్తు ఉంటుందని ప్రధాని నరేంద్రమోదీ అన్నారు. పర్యావరణ దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా ప్రజలను ఉద్దేశించి ట్వీట్​ చేశారు. వీడియోలో సందేశమిచ్చారు. ముస్లింలకు రంజాన్ పర్వదిన శుభాకాంక్షలు తెలిపారు.

ప్రపంచ పర్యావరణ దినోత్సవాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని ప్రజలకు ట్విట్టర్​లో సందేశం ఇచ్చారు ప్రధాని నరేంద్రమోదీ. ప్రకృతితో అందరూ మమేకం కావాలని సూచించారు. కేదార్​నాథ్​లో పర్యటించిన కొన్ని చిత్రాలను పోస్ట్ చేశారు. భూమిని స్వచ్ఛంగా మార్చాలని కోరారు.

"I think it's absolutely warranted. It's a great day. There's accountability for Peterson and the fact that he wouldn't show up here. I think it speaks volumes and I'd say it goes to his consciousness of guilt. You remember the only time that he made any public statements were I say those were very self-serving statements when he went to New York and he appeared on The Today Show and interview he did with The Washington Post. The only time he had ever been interviewed was two days after the shooting by the Broward County Sheriff's Office homicide investigators and then when the video became known and it was exposed as to what he didn't do then there were no further interviews and the only time that he would ever agree to talk is when he could control it. And then we subpoenaed him to be here and he refused to show up and there was the theatrical nonsense by his lawyer who came in and popped a bunch of papers on the podium and walked out. So Scot Peterson is a coward. He's a failure and he's a criminal. And he absolutely abrogated his duty and his responsibility that day and there's no doubt in my mind that because he didn't act, is that people were and people were killed and he should have taken effective action and he could have stopped it."

"I'm Scot Peterson, I've been a police officer for 30 years, I've been a school resource officer for 25 years, and Go Eagles, anyway. I've also been a ROCS (Resident on Campus Security program) officer at Atlantic Technical Centre for the past 15 years. The ROCS program, I submit to you, it's a crime prevention program. I mean that was always one of the key components of our program. And yes, we had an audit and, like everyone on the board has said, there's some issues and we want to address them as well, because we're just as mad. You know, when we found out that there was a ROCS officer wasn't living on that campus, we were just as angry, board. We obviously didn't know it and that's why we need to obviously kind of shore some things up obviously in this program. But that's what we're here for."

"I was surprised but very happy and excited about the news. For me it's accountability and justice on February 14th when the shooting was happening, I texted my daughter Alyssa and I told her to hide. That help was on the way. Peterson was that help but he froze and he failed us all that day. He was supposedly the good guy with the gun that was supposed to go in and gauge the threat and he let us all down that led to the death of 17 people."

STORYLINE:
The Florida deputy who failed to confront a gunman during last year's Parkland massacre has been arrested on 11 charges.
State Attorney Mike Satz announced Tuesday that 56-year-old Scot Peterson faces child neglect, culpable negligence and perjury charges.
Peterson, then a Broward County deputy, was on duty during the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School but never went inside.
Satz says the charges carry a combined prison sentence of nearly 100 years.
Peterson's bail was set at 102,000 US dollars.
A lawyer for Peterson didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
Twenty-year-old Nikolas Cruz faces the death penalty if convicted of killing 17 people and wounding 17 others in the attack.
He has offered to plead not guilty in return for a life sentence, but prosecutors have refused that offer.
