బ్యాంకాక్​లో జరుగుతున్న ఆసియన్ బాక్సింగ్ ఛాంపియన్​షిప్​లో భారత బాక్సర్లు సెమీస్​కు దూసుకెళ్లారు. 60 కేజిల విభాగంలో శివథాప, సరితాదేవి టోర్నీలో పతకాన్ని ఖాయం చేసుకున్నారు. నాలుగోసారి సెమీస్​కు చేరాడు శివథాప.

ఆసియన్ బాక్సింగ్​ ఛాంపియన్​షిప్​లో భారత బాక్సర్లు సత్తాచాటారు. థాయ్​లాండ్ బ్యాంకాక్​లో జరుగుతున్న ఈ పోటీల్లో శివథాప, సరితా దేవి సెమీస్​కు దూసుకెళ్లారు. పురుషుల 60 కేజీల విభాగంలో వరుసగా నాలుగో సారి ఆసియన్ పతకాన్ని ఖాయం చేసుకున్నాడు శివథాప. 60 కేజీల మహిళల విభాగంలో దాదాపు దశాబ్దం తర్వాత తొలిసారి సెమీస్ చేరింది సరితా దేవి.

క్వార్టర్స్​లో థాయ్​లాండ్​కు చెందిన రుజుక్రాన్​ని 5-0 తేడాతో మట్టికరిపించాడు శివ. సెమీస్​లో కజకిస్థాన్ జకీర్​తో తలపడనున్నాడీ 25 ఏళ్ల బాక్సర్. శివథాప 2013లో బంగారు పతకాన్ని గెలవగా, 2015లో కాంస్యం సొంతం చేసుకున్నాడు. 2017లో వెండి పతకాన్ని కైవసం చేసుకోగా... తాజాగా మరోసారి పతకాన్ని ఖాయం చేసుకున్నాడు. సరితా దేవి చివరిగా 2010లో స్వర్ణాన్ని గెల్చుకుంది.
