బెంగళూరు వేదికగా సన్రైజర్స్తో జరిగిన మ్యాచ్లో బెంగళూరు రాయల్ ఛాలెంజర్స్ విజయం సాధించింది. గెలుపుతో సీజన్ను ముగించింది.

ఇప్పటికే ప్లేఆఫ్ నుంచి నిష్క్రమించిన బెంగళూరు చివరి మ్యాచ్లో గెలిచి సీజన్ను ముగించింది. హైదరాబాద్ సన్రైజర్స్పై 4 వికెట్ల తేడాతో విజయం సాధించింది. బెంగళూరు బ్యాట్స్మెన్ హిట్మైర్, గుర్కీరత్ అర్ధశతకాలతో ఆకట్టుకున్నారు.
176 పరుగుల లక్ష్యంతో బరిలోకి దిగిన బెంగళూరు ఆదిలోనే పార్థివ్ పటేల్ వికెట్ కోల్పోయింది. కాసేపటికే సారథి కోహ్లి (18) పెవిలియన్ చేరాడు. డివిలియర్స్ (1) సైతం విఫలమయ్యాడు. 20 పరుగులకే మూడు వికెట్లు కోల్పోయి కష్టాల్లో పడింది బెంగళూరు.

"He's from Indonesia. So, the islands that he's native to, they are almost on the equator. So it's very hot, quite humid for most of the air, but there is a very pronounced dry season as well. So, what we try and do here is mimic that as best we can. So, we have periods of the year when it is very hot and very humid. It rains almost every day here, certain times of year, and then different times to the year it's a lot drier, but it's still very hot. And you can see around we've got nice tropical plants, we've got the sun beating down today. So it's a very nice representation of the natural habitat."

"So I've got some Komodo Dragon teeth here. These are ones that Ganas has dropped, he's shed them out of his mouth. And that's a completely normal thing for a big lizard, a big dragon, like him to do. So these teeth, if you look closely, they are serrated on the front and the back. And it's important for him when he's hunting that he's got a very sharp, fresh set of teeth."

"Because of that kind of prestige of being the world's largest lizard, the largest monitor in the world, they are attractive to certain individuals who would want to keep them privately. Now, that is completely illegal, but when you kind of think about the the average yearly income of people who live within the range of this animal. When you consider that a single baby dragon could sell for upwards of 10,000 (British) pounds. It's a very potentially attractive prospect to try and smuggle these animals out."

"What you're looking at there has looked like that for 90 million years. Komodo Dragons have been a stable species for so long. And the first kind of Western people to go there, the Dutch and Portuguese settlers, went there in the 1500s and the 1600s. So that's quite a long time for myths and names and, you know, to stem from. There's certainly a lot mythology surrounding these animals and Western scientists only describe these in about 1910, or they were first seen in 1910, by Western scientists, and described 1912. So, that's quite a gap between 16,1500s and 1912 for myths and rumors and a legend to arise."

LEADIN:
They're the fictional creatures of HBO's 'Game of Thrones', but in London Zoo dragons are anything but fiction.
London Zoo is home to an eleven-year-old Komodo dragon, named 'Ganas'.
STORYLINE:
He can't breathe fire, but unlike Games of Thrones' fictional dragons - Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion - Ganas is the real deal.
The eleven-year-old Komodo dragon moved from Randers Zoo in Denmark to ZSL London Zoo in 2015.
Named after the island of Komodo in their native Indonesia, the dragons - the largest and heaviest lizards in the world - have survived on earth for millions of years.
Ganas spends his days in London Zoo's Attenborough Komodo Dragon House. Temperatures are kept high to mimic a dry Indonesian river bed.
"He's from Indonesia," explains senior keeper Daniel Kane.
"So, the islands that he's native to, they are almost on the equator. So it's very hot, quite humid for most of the air, but there is a very pronounced dry season as well. So, what we try and do here is mimic that as best we can.
Ganas might seem large, but he'll grow even bigger. The largest living lizard species, some grow to an intimidating ten feet (three metres) long.
His skin might look torn, but he's currently in the process of shedding.
Instead of using their noses, Komodo dragons smell with their tongues.
Their sense of small is so advanced, they can sniff out a potential meal from up to six miles (approx. 9 kilometres) away.
To encourage his sense of smell, keepers create trails for Ganas to follow. At the end, fresh eggs gobble down.
According to the IUCN's last assessments, the Komodo dragon's conservation status is vulnerable. The biggest threat being habitat loss, mostly due to human disturbance.
There are an estimated 4,000 to 5,000 Komodo dragons in the wild.
Kane says the illegal wildlife trade poses another threat.
"Because of that kind of prestige of being the world's largest lizard, the largest monitor in the world, they are attractive to certain individuals who would want to keep them privately," he says.
Fire-breathing, flying dragons are currently starring in HBO's 'Game of Thrones'.
But zoo keeper Joe Capon says dragon mythology has existed for centuries.
Western scientists didn't encounter the Komodo dragon until 1910, meaning years for myths and legends to develop.
"What you're looking at there has looked like that for 90 million years. Komodo Dragons have been a stable species for so long," he says.
"And the first kind of Western people to go there, the Dutch and Portuguese settlers, went there in the 1500s and the 1600s. So that's quite a long time for myths and names and, you know, to stem from.
Keepers says there's definitely been more interest in Ganas since 'Game of Thrones' became a worldwide hit.
The show's dragons breathe fire when "Dragon Queen Daenerys Targaryen" cries "drakarys".
Keeper Capon says Ganas knows some words, like his name, but not that one.
"My answer is nothing. He doesn't know that word," he says.
"He knows some words because of the tone and what he's used to, but he doesn't know that one."
