కరోనా కారణంగా విధించిన లాక్డౌన్తో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా థియేటర్లన్నీ మూతపడ్డాయి. ఫలితంగా సినిమాలన్నీ ఓటీటీ వైపు అడుగులేస్తున్నాయి. ఇటీవలే సూర్య హీరోగా తెరకెక్కిన 'సూరారై పోట్రు'ను నేరుగా డిజిటల్ ప్లాట్ఫామ్లో విడుదల చేయనున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు. అయితే, ఈ విషయంపై సూర్య అభిమానులు నిరాశ చెందుతున్నారు. ఇంత పెద్ద సినిమాను ఆన్లైన్లో విడుదల చేయాలన్న నటుడి నిర్ణయాన్ని ప్రేక్షకులు, సినీ విమర్శకులు ట్విట్టర్ వేదికగా తప్పుబట్టారు. మరోసారి ఈ విషయంపై పునఃపరిశీలించాలని సూచించారు. ఆలస్యమైనా సినిమాను థియేటర్లలోనే చూడాలని భావిస్తున్నట్లు అభిమానులు సూర్యను ట్యాగ్ చేస్తూ.. పోస్ట్ చేశారు.

ఈ చిత్రంలో టాలీవుడ్ విలక్షణ నటుడు మంచు మోహన్బాబు కీలకపాత్ర పోషించారు. సూర్య, బాలీవుడ్ నిర్మాత గుణీత్ మోంగ సంయుక్తంగా నిర్మించారు. ప్రముఖ సంగీత దర్శకుడు జీవీ ప్రకాశ్ స్వరాలను సమకూర్చారు.
