సమంత అక్కినేని...తెలుగు సినీ అభిమానులకు పరిచయం అక్కర్లేని పేరు. ఏ మాయ చేశావే చిత్రం నుంచి తాజాగా మజిలీ వరకు ఆమెది తిరుగులేని ప్రస్థానం. సినీ నేపథ్యం లేకుండా 2011లో అడుగుపెట్టి ఓస్టార్ హీరోయిన్గా ఎదిగింది కోట్లాది ప్రేక్షకల హృదయాలను గెలుచుకుంది. ఆదివారం 33వ పడిలోకి అడుగుపెట్టిన సందర్భంగా ట్విట్టర్‌లో సామ్కు శుభాకాంక్షలు వెల్లువెత్తాయి. ప్రముఖులతోపాటు అభిమానులూ విషెస్ తెలిపారు.

500 years after his death, researchers and art historians are analyzing Leonardo da Vinci's the "Landscape Drawing for Santa Maria della Neve".
One of the master's earliest works, it is currently on display in Vinci.
STORYLINE :
This is one the earliest known drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, "Landscape Drawing for Santa Maria della Neve."
Ahead of the special exhibition in his home town of Vinci, the art work was being examined in greater depth than ever before.
Letizia Montalbano is technical director of the Drawings and Prints Department at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, an art restoration school.
She is using a microscope in order to study the drawing in minute detail.
"The image, the drawing, depicts a landscape, we don't know the precise location, the area, it is dated 1473, and is one of the first, if not the very first drawing by Leonardo, therefore a very young Leonardo, and this is an opportunity to analyze the drawing itself and what it depicts, and obviously its ties with other paintings and other studies" says Montalbano.
The drawing is part of Florence's Uffizi Galleries' collection.
Opificio delle Pietre Dure is one of the oldest Italian institutions devoted to the preservation and restoration of art.
Its experts are currently analyzing the front of the landscape drawing, which shows a castle on a hill in the background and a valley in the foreground
The back of the image shows a sketch of a human figure and will be studied over the next few weeks.
The drawing is also known as "8 P", which is its inventory number.
In the upper left corner of the drawing, it is possible to see writing which reads (in ancient Italian) "Dì di sta Maria della neve/addj 5 daghossto 1473" (Santa Maria della Neve day, August 5th, 1473).
Leonardo was left-handed and he used to write his notes from right to left.
Researchers are using sophisticated technologies to study the drawing, as Maurizio Michelozzi, restorer at the Drawings and Prints department of the Uffizi Galleries, explains.
"In this first phase of the investigation, we have planned qualitative, multispectral, digital studies, such as shots in visible light, infrared, ultraviolet, grazing light in order to obtain information on the artistic technique and to evaluate the state of conservation"
Their aim is to analyze the chemical components of the materials used by Leonardo, and to evaluate the state of conservation of the drawing.
One of the main questions they are looking for an answer to is when Leonardo created it.
Even though it is dated August 5th, 1473, it seems that it was drawn at different times.
Roberto Bellucci, restorer and optic diagnostic expert, explains that Leonardo probably used more than one ink.
"We already know from the literature that Leonardo used two inks to execute the drawing, and with these investigative techniques we would like to distinguish, highlight, emphasize the two parts in which he used these two inks" Bellucci says.
"It is important to understand what material, how many inks Leonardo used in order to figure out the origin of this drawing, to understand how he made it, if he painted it as a drawing from life, if this is a sketch, if he intervened immediately afterward or after a certain period time, as Leonardo usually does with his sketches and drawings " Bellucci adds.
Opificio delle Pietre Dure uses a high tech instrument called Scanner Multi Vis/NIR, created by the National Institute of Optics of the CNR (Centro Nazionale delle Ricerche, Italian National Research Centre).
This scanner can capture 32 different pictures of the drawing using different wavelengths: as Bellucci explains, this instrument enables them to establish the fact that the inks are made from different materials.
The result can be viewed on Bellucci's computer screens.

In this early stage of the research, it seems that Leonardo also used an iron gall ink, a kind of black ink made from iron sulfate and gum arabic solution, but researchers need to carry out more tests to confirm this.
Cecilia Frosinini - art historian and director of the laboratory of Papers, Drawings and Prints Department at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure says that it is important study the work scientifically and put aside any reverence for the great master.
"I think it is important to have an impartial approach even when we are talking about Leonardo. We look at this drawing as something made from different materials, we look at this artwork in its substance, in its origin, but we look at it as we should look at any artwork" Frosinini explains.
The art work is currently on display in Vinci, the hometown of Leonardo to mark 500 years since his death on May 2 1519.
"This is a great opportunity to see works of art by Leonardo and related to Leonardo in the original landscape where Leonardo grew up or he lived; and the highlight of these exhibitions is one in Vinci, in fact his landscape drawing will be returning there for the first time in more than 500 years."
The Uffizi only occasionally displays the work, Leonardo's earliest known drawing, because it is so fragile.
The new exhibition in Vinci will display the artwork in such a way to show both the front and the back of the paper says Michelozzi.

The landscape, done when he was 21, is Leonardo's earliest known dated drawing. Until recently, it had also long been considered his earliest known dated artwork.
Then, in 2017, a painted terracotta tile was attributed to Leonardo. Painted when he was 19, it depicts the Archangel Gabriel and is dated 1471.
Leonardo is celebrated as a Renaissance genius who excelled as an artist and who had creative scientific curiosity as well.
Leonardo da Vinci was born in Anchiano, a tiny hamlet near Vinci on April 15th, 1452 and died on May 2nd, 1519, in Cloux (now Clos-Lucé), France.
Next month will mark 500 years since Leonardo's death.
