1. 00:00 SOUNDBITE (English): Paulo Bento, South Korea head coach:
(on being drawn with North Korea in Group H)
"I think that is a sport question, we are going to play two games against North Korea in the same way that we are going to play two games against the rest of the teams in the group, and try to win all the games that we are going to play, of course, respecting all the teams we meet in all the games that we have played 'til now."
2. 00:38 SOUNDBITE (English): Paulo Bento, South Korea head coach:
(on South Korea's progress since their disappointing quarter-final loss at the 2019 Asian Cup)
"We already made four friendly games (since the Asian Cup), we are going to have one more friendly game before we start the (World Cup) qualifiers, and the goal is always the same - try to improve game after game, and try to arrive to the games as well prepared as possible."
3. 01:10 SOUNDBITE (English): Ante Mise, Turkmenistan head coach:
(on being drawn with South Korea in Group H)
"We can play against them (South Korea). I think when we played against Uganda - it's a really good team Uganda, I find out that we can manage with every teams, we can fight with every teams. You never know what is going to be, 11 against 11, 90 minutes, we're playing second game I think (South) Korea, at home, I think it will be a very interesting match."
4. 01:39 SOUNDBITE (Thai): Patit Supapong, Thai Football Association deputy secretary general:
(on being drawn with fellow Southeast Asian sides Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia)

++FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR THAI-SPEAKING CLIENTS++
6. 02:36 SOUNDBITE (English): Patit Supapong, Thai Football Association deputy secretary general:
(on finally confirming Akira Nishino as new head coach and the draw results)
"Well, since the Asian Cup ended in January, so we were also looking for a new coach, although we have a Thai coach (presently), but however, last June, the team didn't perform well in the King's Cup, so at the end we decided that we need a new coach to take us to a new level, to compete in the World Cup qualifiers, and also the SEA Games, and the AFC Under 23 (championships), which is played as the Olympic qualifiers, so we thought like we need someone with that quality and profile and also the history, to be able to perform and control and also take us to the next level."
7. 03:23 SOUNDBITE (English): Tan Cheng Hoe, Malaysia head coach:
(on being drawn with fellow Southeast Asian sides Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia)
"It's like a small tournament in the Suzuki Cup. Of course, the favour is with UAE. We know that playing with UAE will be tougher. Vietnam is also a very strong team in ASEAN and of course Thailand and we cannot forget about Indonesia. They have a good team. At the same time we will need a good preparation for these World Cup qualifiers."
8. 03:55 SOUNDBITE (Malay): Tan Cheng Hoe, Malaysia head coach:
(on being drawn with fellow Southeast Asian sides Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia)
++FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR MALAY-SPEAKING CLIENTS++
9. 04:32 SOUNDBITE (Japanese): Tatsuma Yoshida, Singapore head coach:
(on being drawn in Group D with Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Palestine and Yemen)
"This is an extremely tough group and we have to look at the players that can be available for us. We have to continue challenging and developing our style regardless of the opponents we will face in these qualifiers."
10. 04:53 SOUNDBITE (English): Simon McMenemy, Indonesia head coach:
(on being drawn with fellow Southeast Asian sides Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia)
"You see the first thing and say, oh, Malaysia, that's going to be interesting. And then you noticed that Thailand hadn't come out and you knew it was going to happen. It's really going to spice these World Cup qualifiers up. It really is. The crazy thing from a coach's perspective, when it's derbies, there is passion involved and when there is passion sometimes it spills over into personal and players do crazy things. So from a coach's perspective, it's tough, it's tough. But it's exciting, I think. Even some of the messages I've got already, there is a bit of optimism that group is not as bad as it can be. We know our opponents, which is a good thing. There isn't a lot of travel involved other than UAE. So there is a slight feeling that it might be in our hands and we can actually do something about it. So not as a bad as it could have been, but wasn't expecting that."
11. 05:52 SOUNDBITE (English): Simon McMenemy, Indonesia head coach:
(on how important it is for Indonesia to get results from their first two matches at home)
"I think for a team on Pot 5 that is really important. Our strength is in our stadium. That Bung Karno, when that's full, that's a very difficult place to play football. So between now and then we have to make sure that we amp up the interest, that we push the positivity and the optimism and hopefully that stadium is full so we make it as difficult as we can for opponents to come there. Because they'll know it as well. They are no strangers to playing against Indonesia in Indonesia, so they'll know what to expect. Yes, I think it's a slight advantage, but obviously our opponents know about us as well. So one would argue in a technical sense it's quite a level playing field. We all know each other very well. So, we'll see."

STORYLINE:
South Korea head coach Paulo Bento said he will treat playing North Korea like any other match after the two countries were drawn together for the second round of Asian 2022 World Cup qualifiers on Wednesday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The former Portugal boss said his side has improved since their disappointing quarter-final dismissal at the 2019 Asian Cup and is confident they can advance out of a Group H that also includes Lebanon, Sri Lanka and Ante Mise's Turkmenistan.
Four Southeast Asian nations were drawn together as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam all were placed into G along with the United Arab Emirates.
Indonesia head coach Simon McMenemy was excited but wary of facing three familiar sides, saying passionate derby matches can sometimes cause players to do 'crazy things'.
