It was really special."

So it did take a while but all the more gratifying for the long wait I think."

STORYLINE:
CORY BOOKER AND PARTNER ROSARIO DAWSON MAKE RARE PUBLIC APPEAREANCE AT WORLD PREMIERE OF ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP
Rosario Dawson and her boyfriend, U.S. Democratic pesidential candidate Cory Booker, stole the spotlight at the "Zombieland: Double Tap" premiere in Los Angeles, Thursday (10 OCTOBER 2019).

Initially keeping coy about their romance in 2018, the two went public with their relationship this year, with Dawson going on record as saying "Cory Booker is a wonderful man" in April.
Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin - the core cast of the 2009 zom-com hit - walked a brown carpet for the sequel.
Ten years ago, the post–apocalyptic "Zombieland" gained a huge cult following with its mixture of gore and slapstick.
Harrelson (Tallahassee), Stone (Wichita), Eisenberg (Columbus) and Breslin (Little Rock) reprise their roles as a dysfunctional makeshift group who, in the first film, travelled to America's heartland.
Eisenberg says that movie owed its success to a feel-good factor.
"It's a sweet family story in the clothing of a cool action movie and so people feel like they're watching a cool action movie but actually they're watching it so they can cry," he said.
Stone was a relative unknown a decade ago - she is now an Academy Award winning actress, taking home the prize for "La La Land."
She said reuniting with this cast - and friends - was something to behold.
"It was so special. Of course ten years in any human being's life is enormous. So many things have happened in all of our lives...And it was just so cool like after work, or on the weekends, to go over people's houses and just have these really fun talks about how we've evolved and changed," said the star, who was wearing a Louis Vuitton dress.
Supporting actress Dawson and fellow new cast member Zoey Deutch said they both felt welcomed amongst the already established group.
Deutch plays the dim-witted but kind-hearted Madison, who stayed safe from brain-eating zombies by hiding in a freezer.
The daughter of '80s actress Lea Thompson, who starred in "Back to the Future," amongst other movies, insists she wasn't playing the role for laughs.
"I don't know that I'm doing comedies when I'm doing comedies, so maybe you think it's funny but I just have poor reading comprehension skills, evidently," she said.
Other cameos include Luke Wilson and Thomas Middleditch.
