తమిళనాడు శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలు ఎప్పుడు జరిగినా ఎదుర్కోవటానికి సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నట్లు సూపర్స్టార్ రజినీకాంత్ ప్రకటించారు. ఉపఎన్నికల ఫలితాలు రాష్ట్రంలో శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలకు దారితీయవచ్చా అన్న ప్రశ్నకు చెన్నైలో ఈమేరకు సమాధానం ఇచ్చారు.

ఉపఎన్నికలే కీలకం...

తమిళనాడు శాసనసభ సభ్యుల సంఖ్య 234. స్పీకరును మినహాయిస్తే అధికార అన్నాడీఎంకేకు ప్రస్తుతం 113 మంది శాసనసభ్యులున్నారు. అధికారంలో కొనసాగాలంటే సాధారణ మెజారిటీ 117 మంది సభ్యులు కావాలి.

ఈనెల 18న 18 శాసనసభ స్థానాలకు ఉపఎన్నిక జరిగింది. మరో 4 స్థానాలకు మే 19న పోలింగ్. ఈ 22 నియోజకవర్గాల ఫలితంపై తమిళ రాజకీయ భవిష్యత్ ఆధారపడి ఉంది.

రాజకీయ ప్రవేశంపై రజినీకాంత్ ప్రకటన చేసి చాలా కాలమైంది. కానీ... పార్టీపై ఎలాంటి ముందడుగు వేయలేదు. 2021లో జరిగే శాసనసభ ఎన్నికల్లో రాష్ట్రంలోని అన్ని స్థానాల్లో పోటీచేస్తామని 2017 డిసెంబర్లో ప్రకటించారు సూపర్స్టార్.

STORYLINE:
Norway's Johannes Klaebo won his second cross-country skiing Crystal Globe on Sunday as he held off Alexander Bolshunov of Russia in a dramatic finish in Quebec, Canada.
Klaebo came into the final race of the season in a good position after victory in the Mass Start on Saturday.
He began with a gap of more than 50 seconds between himself and Bolshunov, who had to win to have any chance of snatching the title.
However, the 22-year-old Klaebo skied strongly, despite Bolshunov closing the gap, and he held off the Russian and local hero Alex Harvey in a thrilling climax.
The Norwegian finished with a time of 29:05.4, 2.8 seconds ahead of Harvey and 2.9 in front of Bolshunov.
After a silver on Saturday, Harvey bid farewell to his career with another second-placed finish to cap a fine end to his time on the tour.
