కేరళ తిరూరంగడికి చెందిన మహ్మద్ ఆసిఫ్ 16 మీటర్ల పొడవైన పెన్సిల్పై 50 మలయాళం అక్షరాలను తీర్చిదిద్ది ఇండియన్ బుక్ ఆఫ్ రికార్డ్స్లో స్థానం సంపాదించాడు. అలాగే చాక్పీసులతో జాతీయ నాయకుల ప్రతిమలు, ప్రసిద్ధ కట్టడాల నమూనాలు రూపొందించి తన కళానైపుణ్యాన్ని ప్రదర్శిస్తున్నాడు.

ఇండియన్ బుక్ ఆఫ్ రికార్డ్స్లో 'పెన్సిల్' కళాకారుడు

పెన్సిళ్లు, చాక్పీసులతో అద్భుత కళాఖండాలు రూపొందించి ఇండియన్ బుక్ ఆఫ్ రికార్డ్స్లో స్థానం సంపాదించాడు కేరళ తిరూరంగడికి చెందిన మహ్మద్ ఆసిఫ్. దేవదార్ పాఠశాలలో ప్లస్టూ కంప్యూటర్ సైన్స్ విద్యార్థిగా ఉన్న ఆసిఫ్.. 16 మీటర్ల పొడవైన పెన్సిల్పై 50 మలయాళం అక్షరాలను తీర్చిదిద్దాడు. ఈ కళాసృష్టికి గుర్తింపుగానే అతడికి ఇండియన్ బుక్ ఆఫ్ రికార్డ్స్లో చోటు దక్కింది.

అలా మొదలైంది...

స్నేహితుడి పుట్టిన రోజు కానుక ఇవ్వడం కోసం సరదాగా ప్రారంభించిన ఈ పెన్సిల్ ఆర్ట్.. క్రమంగా ఆసిఫ్లో కళానైపుణ్యం వెలికితీయడానికి దోహదపడింది. చాక్పీస్లతో ప్రముఖ జాతీయ నాయకుల బొమ్మలు, ప్రసిద్ధ కట్టడాల నమూనాలు తీర్చిదిద్దడం మొదలుపెట్టాడు.

"స్నేహితుడి పుట్టినరోజుకు ఏదొక ప్రత్యేకమైన బహుమతి ఇవ్వాలనుకున్నాను. ఇన్స్టాగ్రామ్లో పెన్సిల్ కార్వింగ్ చూశాను. అది చూసి చిన్న బొమ్మలా తయారు చేద్దామనుకున్నాను. అక్కడ నుంచి మైక్రో ఆర్ట్ అలవాటైంది. ఆ తర్వాత ఇండియా బుక్ ఆఫ్ రికార్డ్స్లో చోటు దక్కింది. 50 మలయాళం అక్షరాలను 16 సె.మీ పెన్సిల్పై చెక్కాను. అది ఓ రికార్డ్ అయింది." - మహ్మద్ ఆసిఫ్, కళాకారుడు

ఎనలేని గుర్తింపు...

ఆసిఫ్ రూపొందించిన బొమ్మలు, చిత్రాలను స్కూల్ ఆర్ట్ ఎక్స్పోలో ప్రదర్శించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ముఖ్య అతిథిగా వచ్చిన తానూర్ ఎమ్మెల్యే అబ్దుల్ రహ్మాన్.. ఆసిఫ్ కళానైపుణ్యానికి అచ్చెరువొందారు. అలా తక్కువ కాలంలోనే ఆసిఫ్కు ఎనలేని గుర్తింపు లభించింది. ప్రస్తుతం తన కళను కేరళ విద్యాశాఖమంత్రి రవీంద్రనాథ్ ముందు ప్రదర్శించడానికి ఆసిఫ్ సిద్ధమవుతున్నాడు.

"Our focus has been making sure that they received the very best, immediate care that they need in the aftermath of this tragedy. I have visited some of our health services. We have extraordinary health professionals in New Zealand but at the same time a desire to make sure that loved ones are able to be close with their loved ones who may have been injured. There has been a process particularly were those from Australia, not least because of the proximity. Over the coming period of time we've managed to medivac - all as I understand but one will, if they have not already, over the coming days be repatriated, medivac'd, to Australia. For others, at this stage I do not believe there are other plans in place yet but until that time they will be in the very best of care here."

"This is a volcano that has been visited for the better part of 30 years. However, we also hear, and absolutely agree, that there are questions that are being asked that must be answered and they will be. As has already been said this week, WorkSafe is the agency in New Zealand that will hold responsibility for that, and as you'd expect where we have significant loss of life, a coronial inquest as well, and those are the processes that will allow us the space to answer those questions. Because, of course, they must be answered. I want to ensure, though, that no-one predetermines anything in this time and place, that we allow that work to be done properly, and that we give those experts the time to do that and that we also respect just the phase we're in now, where families have only just had their loved ones come back."

"I think if you'd ask anyone here, everyone wants families to be reunited with their loved ones as quickly as possible, but the coroner ultimately needs to be the one that has to be satisfied that that process is undertaken properly. We want to make sure that loved ones are reunited with their loved one and that needs to be done under the care of the coroner."

"The New Zealand police dive team supported by the Defence Force personnel deployed today, they haven't found anybody as yet. And they are working together to plan for tomorrow. They will redeploy, and it will be the New Zealand police dive team and some of the navy dive team as well. So Defence will work with police and it will be ongoing."

"You'll appreciate these soldiers were then in the process of having to move about the island up and down and over the terrain and then also they had the task of handling the victims on the island that had a physical exertion element to it. What that did require for our team at one point was them to recover back to the jetty for effectively a rehydration stop so that they could continue to operate at full capacity."
14. Officials leaving the press conference
STORYLINE:
New Zealand's prime minister Jacinda Ardern spoke Friday of the country's "duty of care" towards the families of the victims of the volcano eruption on White Island.
Addressing reporters after six bodies were recovered from the island, she said the priority was to reunite bereaved families with the remains of their loved ones, and to care for the survivors of the tragedy.
"We know that reunification won't ease that sense of loss or grief because I don't think anything can," she said.
"But we felt an enormous duty of care as New Zealanders to make sure that we brought their family members back."
Mike Bush from New Zealand police said specialist divers would return to the island to continue searching for two other bodies believed to there.
Colonel Ryan McKinstry of the New Zealand military said the rescue involved much physical exertion due to the island's difficult terrain.
The eruption Monday occurred as 47 tourists and their guides were exploring the island.
A total of 16 people died, and many of the survivors were badly burned.
