హైదరాబాద్ నగరంలోని జీడిమెట్లలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన 500 మెట్రిక్ టన్నుల సామర్థ్యం గల భవన నిర్మాణ వ్యర్థాల రీసైక్లింగ్ ప్లాంట్ను శనివారం మంత్రి కేటీఆర్ ప్రారంభించారు. దీనికి సంబంధించిన ఒక వీడియోను పురపాలక శాఖ మంత్రి కేటీఆర్ ట్విట్టర్లో పెట్టారు. హైదరాబాద్ జంట నగరాల్లో రోజుకు 2 వేల మెట్రిక్ టన్నుల భవన నిర్మాణ వ్యర్థాలు వస్తున్నాయని మంత్రి వెల్లడించారు.
మరో 500 టన్నుల సామర్థ్యం గల రీసైక్లింగ్ ప్లాంట్ను త్వరలోనే ఫతుల్లాగూడలో ప్రారంభించనున్నట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు. వీటితో పాటు మరో రెండు ఏర్పాటు చేసేందుకు ప్రణాళికలు జరుగుతున్నాయన్నారు. జీడిమెట్లలో ప్రారంభించిన భవన నిర్మాణ వ్యర్థాల ప్లాంట్ దక్షిణ భారతదేశంలో అతిపెద్దదని.. అత్యాధునికమని వెల్లడించారు. వ్యర్థాల నిర్వహణలో హైదరాబాద్ నగరం దేశానికే ఆదర్శంగా ఉందని పేర్కొన్నారు. పర్యావరణ హితంగా ఉన్న ఈ ప్లాంట్ ద్వారా ఉత్పత్తి అయిన పదార్థాలతో పేవర్ బ్లాక్లు, టైల్స్, ప్రీ కాస్టింగ్ వాల్స్ తయారు చేసి తిరిగి వాడుతున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు.
