ఇటలీలోని నెపోలిలో జరుగుతున్న 30వ ప్రపంచ యూనివర్సిటీ పోటీల్లో స్ప్రింటర్ ద్యుతిచంద్ స్వర్ణపతకం గెలుచుకుంది. 100 మీటర్ల విభాగంలో 11.32 సెకన్లలో రేసును పూర్తి చేసి రికార్డు సృష్టించింది. ప్రపంచస్థాయి పోటీల్లో 100 మీటర్ల విభాగంలో భారత మహిళ స్వర్ణం సాధించడం ఇదే తొలిసారి.
ఇదే విభాగంలో స్విట్జర్లాండ్కు చెందిన అజ్లా డెల్ పొంటే 11.33 సెకన్లలో రేసు పూర్తి చేసి రజతం సాధించింది.
