టాస్ ఓడి బ్యాటింగ్కు దిగిన దిల్లీ క్యాపిటల్స్ నిర్ణీత 20 ఓవర్లలో 129 పరుగులకే పరిమితమైంది. శ్రేయస్ అయ్యర్ ఒక్కడే 43 పరుగులతో ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు.

ఫిరోజ్ షా కోట్లా వేదికగా సన్రైజర్స్ హైదరాబాద్, దిల్లీ క్యాపిటల్స్ మధ్య జరుగుతున్న మ్యాచ్లో....మొదట బ్యాటింగ్ చేసిన దిల్లీ 20 ఓవర్లలో 8 వికెట్లు కోల్పోయి 129 పరుగులకు పరిమితమైంది.
రెండు ఫోర్లు కొట్టి మంచి ఆరంభాన్నిచ్చిన పృథ్వీషా 11 పరుగుల వ్యక్తిగత స్కోరు వద్ద భువనేశ్వర్ బౌలింగ్లో బౌల్డ్ అయ్యాడు. వెంటనే శిఖర్ ధావన్(12), పంత్(5), రాహుల్ తెవాటియా(5), ఇంగ్రామ్ (5), మోరిస్ (17) తక్కువ పరుగులకే ఔట్ కావడంతో స్కోరు మందగించింది. చివర్లో అక్షర్ పటేల్ 17 పరుగులు చేయడంతో లక్ష్యం కొంచెం పెరిగింది.

"There is a very clear similarity with the Lion Air accident because number one, it's the same airplane model, brand new airplane, in our case, less than five months in service. I think it's similar with the Lion Air airplane also. This similar airplane had an accident, two fatal accidents in a span of five months. So this by itself tells you a lot about the airplane. On the other hand, the duration of the flights is also almost similar. Our flight was six minutes, very short flight. So although I have not seen the preliminary report which I told you will be released very soon, perhaps in this week, but I have seen some media reports, which is not correct by the way, but for all I know our pilots have worked very hard to save the situation but it was beyond their control."

There are multiple judiciary processes going on - in Chicago, in the U.S., criminal investigation and so on. So it is going to be huge financial implications but I think we should not focus on financial implications but we should focus on human safety, flight safety. So I'm very happy that we decided to ground the airplane on the same day."

There are clear similarities between the two crashes - the Ethiopian air crash and the accident of Indonesian Lion Air, CEO of the Ethiopian Airlines told China Global Television Network on Tuesday during an exclusive interview in Addis Ababa.
A Boeing 737 MAX 8 airplane from Ethiopian Airlines crashed near the capital city of Addis Ababa minutes after take-off on March 10, killing all 157 people on board. The accident happened less than 5 months after another plane of the same type, serving Lion Air Flight JT 610 lost contact with air traffic control just 13 minutes after takeoff from Indonesian Capital Jakarta en route to the Indonesian city of Pangkal Pinang on October 29, 2018, killing all 189 people aboard.
"There is a very clear similarity with the Lion Air accident because number one, it's the same airplane model, brand new airplane, in our case, less than five months in service. I think it's similar with the Lion Air airplane also. This similar airplane had an accident, two fatal accidents in a span of five months. So this by itself tells you a lot about the airplane. On the other hand, the duration of the flights is also almost similar. Our flight was six minutes, very short flight," said Tewolde Gebremariam, the CEO.
Gebremariam said although he had not seen the preliminary report which is expected to be released very soon, perhaps in this week, he had read some media reports, which is not correct.
"But for all I know our pilots have worked very hard to save the situation but it was beyond their control," Gebremariam added.
Ethiopian Airlines grounded all of its Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet after the plane crash. Though such move will lead to financial loss, Gebremariam said it's the right thing to do as safety should always be the priority.
"If we are talking about financial consequences, it's huge because this tragic accident is unique in many ways. There are multiple judiciary processes going on - in Chicago, in the U.S., criminal investigation and so on. So it is going to be huge financial implications but I think we should not focus on financial implications but we should focus on human safety, flight safety. So I'm very happy that we decided to ground the airplane on the same day," said Gebremariam.
Many other countries, including China and Indonesia have also grounded all of the Boeing 737 MAX aircrafts.
