సచిన్​ ప్రపంచకప్​ జట్టులో భారత్​ నుంచి ఐదుగురు

ప్రపంచకప్​లో మెరుగైన ప్రదర్శన కనబర్చిన 11 మంది ఆటగాళ్లతో మాస్టర్  బ్లాస్టర్ సచిన్ ఓ జట్టును ప్రకటించాడు. విలియమ్సన్​ సారథిగా ఉండగా.. భారత్​ నుంచి ఐదుగురికి స్థానం లభించింది.

ప్రపంచకప్ ముగిసింది. ఇంగ్లాండ్ జట్టు విజేతగా నిలవగా.. న్యూజిలాండ్ రన్నరప్​ కైవసం చేసుకుంది. ఈ టోర్నీలో పలువురు ఆటగాళ్లు ఆకట్టుకోగా.. మరికొందరు భారీ అంచనాల మధ్య విఫలమయ్యారు. వీరి ప్రదర్శను బట్టి ఐసీసీ 12 మందితో ఓ జట్టును ప్రకటించింది. తాజాగా మాస్టర్ బ్లాస్టర్​ సచిన్ కూడా ఓ జట్టును ప్రకటించాడు. ఇందులో భారత్​ నుంచి ఐదుగురికి చోటు లభించింది.

ఐసీసీ ప్రపంచకప్​ జట్టుకు సారథిగా ఎంపికైన విలియమ్సన్​ను సచిన్​ కెప్టెన్​గా ఎంచుకున్నాడు. టీమిండియా వికెట్ కీపర్ ధోనీని కాదని ఇంగ్లాండ్ కీపర్ బెయిర్​ స్టోకు వికెట్ల వెనుక బాధ్యతలను అప్పగించాడు.

ప్రపంచకప్​లో అత్యధిక పరుగులు సాధించిన రోహిత్​ శర్మతో పాటు భారత్​ నుంచి కోహ్లీ, బుమ్రా, హార్దిక్ పాండ్య, రవీంద్ర జడేజాకు సచిన్ జట్టులో చోటు దక్కింది. ఆల్​రౌండర్ల విభాగంలో బెన్​స్టోక్స్, షకిబుల్ హసన్​, పాండ్య, రవీంద్ర జడేజాలకు స్థానం లభించింది.

STORYLINE:
Hundreds of Africans seeking entry into the United States are taking an unconventional route, joining Central American immigrants on a long, dangerous land journey to the southern border.
The migrants include Blaise Matshieba Nduluyele, from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He chose the land route from South America after seeing news accounts of Europe-bound immigrants being turned away, and of drownings of immigrants in the Mediterranean Sea.
Nduluyele, his wife and three children fled their country after armed assailants raided his community of Yumbi, killing about 500 people late last year. But death and misery remained close during their grueling, four-month journey through eight countries from South America to safety in the United States.
They quickly ran out of money and were forced to sleep along roads, or in the jungle, and nearly starved as they fed on unknown leaves. They all endured disease and their feet were swollen from trekking for miles on foot.
They weren't even sure that they were on the right path to the U.S. And around them, fellow migrants died. "Frankly, I wouldn't advise anyone else to take that route. It was bad and dangerous," Nduluyele told the Associated Press.
The 34-year-old father said he was secretly terrified that he might not survive the ordeal with his 24-year-old wife and their children aged 6, 4 and 11 months.
They eventually made their way into Texas, from where they were bused to Portland, Maine. Nduluyele says he had no idea the journey would be that difficult, but he is thankful that his family survived the harsh trek.

Now the family must apply for asylum and make a case in order to be able to stay in the United States.
