సౌతాంప్టన్​ వేదికగా అఫ్గాన్​తో పోరులో టీమిండియా ఊహించని రీతిలో తక్కువ స్కోరుకే పరిమితమైంది. టాస్​ గెలిచి బ్యాటింగ్​ ఎంచుకున్న భారత జట్టు... నిర్ణీత 50 ఓవర్లలో 8 వికెట్లు కోల్పోయి 224 పరుగులు మాత్రమే చేసింది. టీమిండియా బ్యాట్స్​మన్లలో విరాట్​, కేదార్​ అర్ధశతకాలతో రాణించారు.

"You know building a movement - this is beautiful, that's wonderful. But we do need to get to the next step. We need to look at past social movements and we need to look at the history of the climate justice movement, and we need to really get our hands dirty in a way and get in the there and tell them its got to stop. STORYLINE:
Thousands of climate activists staged a protest targetting a German coal mine on Saturday.
The protest took place near the site of one of Germany's biggest lignite coal mines in the municipal town of Juechen
The mine has become a focus of environmental protests in recent years because its operator, the utility company RWE, threatened to cut down a nearby forest.
Saturday's action by climate activists comes just days after European Union leaders failed to agree upon a plan to make the bloc's economy carbon neutral by 2050.
Several large European countries — including Britain, France and Germany — have backed the target, but coal-reliant countries in the east, such as Poland, blocked consensus on the proposal, which entails an almost complete phase-out of fossil fuel use.
German police have mobilized hundreds of officers and a water cannon to prevent the vast, open-cast mine and adjacent power plants from being blocked by protesters.
The German government earlier this year approved a national plan to end the use of coal for electricity by 2038 but make up much of the shortfall with imported natural gas.
Following months of protests by students and a sharp rise in the polls for Germany's Green party, Chancellor Angela Merkel recently threw her weight behind the idea of making the entire German economy climate neutral by 2050 — meaning no more man-made greenhouse gases would be added to the atmosphere.
Scientists say ending fossil fuel use by mid-century is a must if countries want to achieve the 2015 Paris climate accord's most ambitious goal of keeping global temperatures from rising more than 1.5 degrees celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit) compared to pre-industrial times.
