ఆస్ట్రేలియాతో జరుగుతున్న ప్రపంచకప్​ 14వ మ్యాచ్​లో భారత్ భారీస్కోరు దిశగా దూసుకెళ్తోంది. ఓపెనర్ శిఖర్​ ధావన్ శతకంతో ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు. 95 బంతుల్లో 100 పరుగులు పూర్తి చేసి కెరీర్​లో 17వ సెంచరీ నమోదు చేశాడు. ఇందులో 13 ఫోర్లు ఉన్నాయి. ధావన్​కు ఈ మైదానంలో ఇది మూడో శతకం.

టాస్ నెగ్గి బ్యాటింగ్ ఎంచుకున్న భారత్​కు శుభారంభం దక్కింది. ఓపెనర్లు ధావన్, రోహిత్(57) నిలకడగా ఆడారు. శిఖర్ ధాటిగా బ్యాటింగ్ చేయగా... రోహిత్​ సమయోచితంగా ఆడుతూ స్కోరు వేగం పెంచాడు. వీరిద్దరూ తొలి వికెట్​కు 127 పరుగుల భాగస్వామ్యాన్ని నమోదు చేశారు. అర్ధశతకం చేసి రోహిత్.. కౌల్టర్ నైల్ బౌలింగ్​లో ఔటయ్యాడు. ప్రస్తుతం క్రీజులో కోహ్లీ, ధావన్ ఉన్నారు.

"As of right now, we are here from 6 am (local time, 0000 GMT). The elections are organised very well in this place. From now until lunch time, I've seen many people casting their vote; everything has been done in a legal manner, and so far, no violations. People are coming here as individuals and vote for their preferred candidates."

"Our citizens are bringing their children, they come with elderly people, and they're setting an example to their children. These elections are going well. In the future, we have big hopes. Candidates have goals to reach that they've set for themselves, so I think that after the elections, they will get a chance to implement them."

STORYLINE:
Voters in Kazakhstan are choosing a successor to the president who had led the Central Asian country since independence from the Soviet Union, with a longtime loyalist expected to win easily.
Three election observers at polling stations in Almaty in the country's southeast told the Associated Press that the voting was so far running smoothly without violations.
Sunday's snap election was called after Nursultan Nazarbayev's unexpected resignation in March.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who became acting president, is seen as certain to beat the six other candidates.
For the first time in Kazakhstan, a genuine opposition candidate is on the ballot, but organised opposition is weak.
Nonetheless, Kazakhstan has experienced rising opposition sentiment.
Anti-government rallies were held this spring to protest what they see as an orchestrated handover of power and to call for a boycott of the election.
One of the most prosperous former Soviet republics, Kazakhstan stands at a crossroads between neighbours China and Russia.
