ఆస్ట్రేలియా క్రికెటర్స్ అసోసియేషన్(ఏసీఏ) నూతన అధ్యక్షుడిగా ఆ దేశ మాజీ క్రికెటర్ షేన్ వాట్సన్ నియమితుడయ్యాడు. సోమవారం రాత్రి జరిగిన ఏసీఏ వార్షిక సమావేశంలో ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారు. ఈ పదవికి తనని ఎంపిక చేయడం గౌరవంగా భావిస్తున్నానని వాట్సన్ ట్వీట్ చేశాడు.

క్రికెట్ ఆస్ట్రేలియా అవలంబిస్తున్న పేరెంటల్ విధానాన్ని ప్రశంసించాడు వాట్సన్.
"మహిళ క్రికెటర్ల కోసం తీసుకొచ్చిన పేరెంటల్ పాలసీ విధానం వల్ల ఎన్నో మార్పులు వస్తాయి. ముఖ్యంగా ఆడపిల్లలు క్రికెట్ వైపు మొగ్గు చూపేందుకు ఆస్కారముంది. నా కూతురు కూడా క్రికెట్ ఆడేందుకు ఎంతో ఆసక్తి చూపుతోంది" -షేన్ వాట్సన్
