ఆసీస్ క్రికెటర్స్ అసోసియేషన్ అధ్యక్షుడిగా వాట్సన్

ఆస్ట్రేలియా మాజీ క్రికెటర్ షేన్ వాట్సన్.. ఆస్ట్రేలియా క్రికెటర్స్ అసోసియేషన్ అధ్యక్షుడిగా నియమితుడయ్యాడు. ఈ పదవి దక్కడం ఎంతో గౌరవంగా భావిస్తున్నా అని ట్వీట్ చేశాడు.

ఆస్ట్రేలియా క్రికెటర్స్ అసోసియేషన్(ఏసీఏ) నూతన అధ్యక్షుడిగా ఆ దేశ మాజీ క్రికెటర్ షేన్ వాట్సన్ నియమితుడయ్యాడు. సోమవారం రాత్రి జరిగిన ఏసీఏ వార్షిక సమావేశంలో ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారు. ఈ పదవికి తనని ఎంపిక చేయడం గౌరవంగా భావిస్తున్నానని వాట్సన్ ట్వీట్ చేశాడు.

"ఏసీఏ అధ్యక్షుడిగా ఎన్నిక కావడం గౌరవంగా భావిస్తున్నా. నా కంటే ముందు ఈ పదవి చేపట్టిన ఎంతో మంది బాగా పనిచేశారు. ఇప్పుడు నా వంతు వచ్చింది. నాకెంతో ఇచ్చిన ఈ ఆట కోసం కష్టపడేందుకు ఇదో అవకాశంగా భావిస్తున్నాను. ఎంతో ఆత్రుతగా ఎదురు చూస్తున్నా" -షేన్ వాట్సన్ ట్వీట్

క్రికెట్ ఆస్ట్రేలియా అవలంబిస్తున్న పేరెంటల్ విధానాన్ని ప్రశంసించాడు వాట్సన్.

"మహిళ క్రికెటర్ల కోసం తీసుకొచ్చిన పేరెంటల్ పాలసీ విధానం వల్ల ఎన్నో మార్పులు వస్తాయి. ముఖ్యంగా ఆడపిల్లలు క్రికెట్ వైపు మొగ్గు చూపేందుకు ఆస్కారముంది. నా కూతురు కూడా క్రికెట్ ఆడేందుకు ఎంతో ఆసక్తి చూపుతోంది" -షేన్ వాట్సన్​

ఆస్ట్రేలియా తరఫున 59 టెస్టులు, 190 వన్డేలు, 58 టీ20లు ఆడాడు వాట్సన్. మొత్తంగా మూడు ఫార్మాట్లలో 291 వికెట్లు తీశాడు.
