టీమిండియాకు అతి పెద్ద సమస్యగా మారిన నాలుగో స్థానంపై ఇప్పటికీ ఓ నిర్ణయానికి రాలేకపోతుంది యాజమాన్యం. రోజుకో పేరు వినిపిస్తున్నా.. స్థిరమైన ఆటగాడి కోసం వేట కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు సెలెక్టర్లు. తాజాగా ఈ విషయంపై హర్భజన్ సింగ్ స్పందిస్తూ ఆ స్థానంలో యువ ఆటగాడు సంజు శాంసన్ను తీసుకోవాలని సూచించాడు.

LEADIN:
A rising wave of new electric cars is about to hit the European auto market.
It's the result of billions of euros worth of investment in battery technology and new factories driven by environmental regulations.
May will be on show at this year's huge motor show in Frankfurt.
STORYLINE:
Carmakers have invested billions in developing battery-electric vehicles to meet tighter EU and Chinese rules on greenhouse gas emissions.
Yet electrics were only 1.8 percent of the European market through the first six months of the year, according to JATO Dynamics.
Higher costs and worries about a place to charge have deterred car buyers.
The carmaker with the biggest electric ambitions is Volkswagen, which in Frankfurt will showcase its new ID.3, billed as the car that will finally bring affordable emission-free driving to the masses, a true electric people's car.
Volkswagen is betting that the ID.3, with a roomy interior, brisk acceleration and battery range up to 550 kilometers (340 miles), is the breakthrough _ the automotive version of the iPhone, the product people didn't know they wanted until someone invented it.
The ID.3's base price of under 30,000 euros means it is "an electric car for everyone," as VW puts it.
The company touts the car as an historic vehicle, as the third chapter in the company's history following the Beetle, which helped bring car ownership to postwar Germany and remained in production until 2003, and the Golf which has sold more than 35 million since 1974.
"They've got this really bold plan to sell hundreds of thousands of electric cars a year within five years or so," says James Attwood, deputy editor of weekly British motoring magazine Autocar.
"This really is a kind of the first property mass market car that kind of promises to sell in really big numbers."
All in all, some 20 new electric models will hit the market by 2021.
Other new electric cars at in Frankfurt will include Daimler's Smart fortwo, redesigned as the Smart brand moves toward making only electric cars, BMW's electric Mini, and Porsche's Taycan, a direct challenge to Tesla's Model S.

The IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt will also see BMW's futuristic electric Vision M Next concept and Mercedes-Benz battery powered EQV, claimed to be the first premium purely battery electric MPV.
The wave of electric vehicles coming in 2020-2021 represents a regulation-driven "moment of truth" for an industry that has been waiting for the tipping point where falling battery costs make electrics a good deal for people of average income.
