దగ్గుబాటి హీరో రానా కథానాయకుడిగా నటించిన బహుభాషా చిత్రం తెలుగులో 'అరణ్య' పేరుతో విడుదలవనుంది. విష్ణు విశాల్‌ కీలక పాత్ర పోషించాడు. ప్రభు సాల్మన్ దర్శకత్వంలో తెరకెక్కిన చిత్రమిది. హిందీలో 'హాథీ మేరే సాథీ', తమిళ్‌లో 'కాండన్‌' పేర్లతో ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు రాబోతుంది.
ముందుగా ఈ చిత్రాన్ని ఏప్రిల్‌ 2న ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా విడుదల చేద్దామని చిత్రబృందం భావించినప్పటికీ లాక్‌డౌన్‌ కారణంగా వాయిదా పడింది. కొన్ని రోజులుగా అనుకూల పరిస్థితులు ఏర్పడటం వల్ల సంక్రాంతి కానుకగా థియేటర్లలోనే ఈ చిత్రాన్ని విడుదల చేస్తున్నట్లు ప్రకటించింది. తాజాగా మరోసారి వాయిదా వేసినట్టు సామాజిక మాధ్యమాల వేదికగా వెల్లడించింది. మార్చి 26న ఈ సినిమాను ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు తీసుకొస్తున్నామని తెలిపింది.

అసోంలో జరిగిన ఓ వ్యక్తి నిజ జీవితం ఆధారంగా ఈ చిత్రాన్ని రూపొందించారు. ఆయన పేరు జాదవ్‌ ప్రియాంక్‌. పద్మశ్రీ అవార్డు అందుకున్న ఆయన తన జీవిత కాలంలో దాదాపు 1300 ఏకరాల అడవిని నాటాడు. బ్రహ్మపుత్ర పరివాహక ప్రాంతంలో ఆయన చేసిన ఈ పని వల్ల అక్కడి భూమి నది కోత నుంచి పరిరక్షితమైంది.
