1. 00:00 SOUNDBITE (English) Steph Curry, Golden State Warriors guard:
"It helped. I mean, again, I know what I'm capable of on the floor, and the situation calls for me to be a little bit more aggressive, and hopefully that will continue. Obviously it's nice to see the ball go in. I didn't shoot the ball well for four and a half quarters -- four and a half games in the last series, and got on to a good start tonight. Want to maintain that. Every game is different. You have to reestablish yourself, and that's my perspective no matter how I play."
2. 00:44 SOUNDBITE (English) Steph Curry, Golden State Warriors guard:
"Yeah, we've been talking about it for the last couple days about how special it is. Obviously we've played plenty of games now on the same court, and you understand what that vibe is like. But on this stage, trying to chase a Finals appearance, it's pretty surreal. I think I caught myself a couple times looking up in the stands at my parents, who did the whole coin flip thing, and they can't help themselves. So any time either one of us did something good, they both were clapping. So they got to fix themselves. I told my mom, "Who are you with?" When I made a shot, I saw her stand up and cheer and I saw her in all Portland gear. It's just weird. It's probably more nerve-wracking for them in terms of just trying to get settled into what this series is going to mean."
3. 01:53 SOUNDBITE (English) Steve Kerr, Golden State Warriors coach:
"No. You know, nothing -- nothing really shocks me. We've seen pretty much everything, and I think every defense is sort of personnel-based, and so you know, these playoff series are always interesting, and they didn't have, you know, a whole lot of time to prepare, so they have got a tape to look at and I'm sure they will make some adjustments. But you know, you've got to do what you're most comfortable with, what you're players are comfortable with. That's what every team tries to do. Steph got free and had a big night and carried us at times and obviously that was a big part of the game."
4. 02:39 SOUNDBITE (English) Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers guard:
"I mean, obviously it's a little bit difficult physically, you know, and a little bit emotional just because you're excited about being in the Western Conference Finals. You win seven games, got one on the road and you're excited about that and you have to come straight here right from Denver and start prep and get ready for the best team in the league right now. It's tough, but once we lace our shoes up and put our uniforms on, it's fair and square. You have to go out there and handle your business. I thought our minds were right. We came in the game ready. But they are a team, they go on runs and they make shots, and the game can get away from you. Tonight, we had too many moments where we had slip-ups defensively, 20 turnovers that led to over 30 points, and you can't allow that. If you allow that against this team, especially on the road, you're going to have a slim chance to win. So I think it was more about that than the series that we played previously."
5. 03:42 SOUNDBITE (English) Terry Stotts, Portland Trail Blazers coach:
"Well, we'll look, I know it's cliche, but we'll watch the game film and see what they did. I know they gave Damian (Lillard) a lot of attention. They clogged the paint. We didn't finish the opportunities when we did have them. So when you turn the ball over and you don't shoot the ball well and don't finish around the basket well, we've got to look for other things. You know, hopefully it's just one game, but that's why it's not one-and-done. We've got a series. It's one loss. We've got to play better, particularly at the offensive end, but we've got to be better at both ends."
