సిరియా కుర్దు దళాలే లక్ష్యంగా చేపట్టిన సైనిక చర్యలను నిలిపివేసేందుకు అంగీకారం తెలిపింది టర్కీ ప్రభుత్వం. ఈ మేరకు ఆ దేశంతో చర్చలు జరిపి సఫలమైంది అమెరికా.

సిరియా నుంచి అమెరికా సేనలు వైదొలిగిన తర్వాత సిరియా కుర్దు దళాలే లక్ష్యంగా చేపట్టిన సైనిక చర్యను 5 రోజుల పాటు నిలిపివేసేందుకు టర్కీ అంగీకరించింది. ఈ మేరకు అమెరికా ఉపాధ్యక్షుడు మైక్‌పెన్స్‌.. టర్కీ అధ్యక్షుడు ఎర్దోగాన్‌తో అంకారాలో జరిపిన చర్చల్లో అంగీకారం కుదిరింది.
సిరియాలో సైనికుల చర్యలు నిలిపుదల: టర్కీ దాదాపు 4 గంటలు జరిగిన చర్చల్లో.. 5 రోజులు కాల్పుల విరమణ పాటించేందుకు ఎర్దోగాన్‌ సమ్మతించారు. ఈ లోపు టర్కీ సరిహద్దు నుంచి 20 కిలోమీటర్ల పరిధిని భద్రతా జోన్‌గా పరిగణిస్తూ సిరియా కుర్దు దళాలు.. ఖాళీ చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది.
కుర్దు సేనల సాయంతోనే సిరియాలో వేళ్లూనుకున్న.. ఐఎస్ మూకలపై అమెరికా పోరాడింది. ఐతే సిరియా నుంచి అమెరికా సేనల ఉపసంహరణ తర్వాత టర్కీ... కుర్దు దళాలపై భీకర దాడికి దిగింది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో తమ మిత్రుల కోసం రంగంలోకి దిగిన అమెరికా.. కాల్పుల విరమణకు టర్కీని ఒప్పించింది.
తాము సైనిక చర్యను ఐదు రోజులు నిలిపివేసినట్లు ప్రకటించిన టర్కీ తమ సేనలను ఉపసంహరించుకోవట్లేదని తెలిపింది. కుర్దు దళాలు... భద్రతా జోన్‌నుంచి వైదొలగాల్సిందేనని స్పష్టంచేసింది. కాల్పుల విరమణకు కట్టుబడి ఉంటామని కుర్దు దళాలు కూడా ప్రకటించాయి. ఈ పరిణామంపై అమెరికా అధ్యక్షుడు ట్రంప్ హర్షం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

STORYLINE:
A white officer killing a black Fort Worth woman in her home has shattered the trust police have been trying to build with communities of colour, neighbours said.
The north Texas city has long had complaints of unjustified shootings and racially unequal policing.
Experts warn that Atatiana Jefferson's death could set off a vicious cycle where the community's mistrust for police causes them to stop reporting crimes and cooperating with officers, making the police less effective and producing more reason for mistrust.
Neighbour Yashunn Hale says he's less likely to dial 911 since an officer shot his neighbor through a back window while responding to a call about an open front door.
He did not think the officer shot Jefferson because she was black. But they did feel the officer would have acted differently in a more white or affluent community.
