పార్లమెంటులో సార్వత్రిక బడ్జెట్ను ప్రవేశపెట్టేందుకు సమయం సమీపిస్తున్న వేళ..ఆర్థిక మంత్రి నిర్మలా సీతారామన్తో పాటు.. ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ కసరత్తు ముమ్మరం చేశారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా ఆర్థికవేత్తలు, నిపుణులతో నేడు సమావేశం కానున్నారు ప్రధాని. సాయంత్రం 4:30 గంటలకు దిల్లీలోని నీతి ఆయోగ్ కార్యాలయంలో భేటీ కానున్నారు.

ఈ సమావేశంలో ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక స్థితిగతులు, అవసరాలపై చర్చించనున్నారు. బడ్జెట్ రూపకల్పన కోసం సలహాలు స్వీకరించనున్నారు.

వచ్చే నెల 5న లోక్సభలో ఆర్థిక మంత్రి నిర్మలా సీతారామన్ బడ్జెట్ ప్రవేశపెట్టనున్నారు. సీతారామన్ మొదటి సారి పూర్తి స్థాయి ఆర్థిక మంత్రి హోదాలో బడ్జెట్ ప్రసంగం చేయనున్నారు.

"The fate of more than 30 million Venezuelans lies in the will and ability of their leaders to place the human rights of the people above any personal political or ideological ambition. I understand the skepticism of some about the possibility that any of these negotiations will prosper, but I believe that given the situation that exists in the country, it should urge all leaders to achieve it. Maintaining entrenched positions on either side will only make the crisis worse and Venezuelans can not afford the situation in the country to deteriorate further."

"The situation in Venezuela hurts me, it hurts me because I see what happens to the people and I think it must hurt all the political leaders who love their country. I believe that Venezuela is a country of peace, of solidarity and that wants to live in peace. In that sense I am a chronic optimist and I believe that one always has to bet that things can go better, to look for solutions, to seek the fundamental agreements to get out of this situation and create conditions for the country to be able to resolve current conflicts."

STORYLINE:
The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, said on Friday she was "hurt" by Venezuela's ongoing economic and political crisis.
At the end of her three-day visit to the South American country, Bachelet said she was concerned for its people who were facing "challenges and suffering".
Bachelet, who had met with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and opposition leader Juan Guaido during the trip, urged "leaders of all political sectors" to participate in discussions to solve the difficult situation and that "maintaining entrenched positions" would only make it worse.
She said the fate of 30 million Venezuelans was in the hands of politicians and their ability to put the "human rights of the people above any personal political or ideological ambition".
But the UN human rights chief said she was a "chronic optimist" and she believed Venezuela was a country "that wants to live in peace".
Bachelet also called on Venezuelan authorities to free all those detained for "exercising their civil and political rights" after she welcomed the release of some political prisoners including opposition lawmaker Gilber Caro.
