He left the building and waited in his car for 20 minutes or so before returning to his workstation. Back inside the building, he was then escorted into an office, in the back office, where he had a conversation with the victims. And at that point, at some point during that conversation, the suspect shot Javier at point blank range, killing him instantly. Brian then quickly engaged the suspect and tried to disarm him, and the suspect shot Brian multiple times during a struggle for the gun, resulting in his death."

"From there the detectives and officers from the Morgan Hill regional SWAT team went to the suspect's residence to serve a search warrant, and in the service of that search warrant they found no other evidence of preplanning or of motive or anything else that would lead us to why this incident occurred."

"Reporter: Any guns found in his home?
Sgt. Norman: "Yes, we recovered well over a dozen firearms."
Reporter: "Is this a guess, sir, that there was a premeditation factor here?"
Sgt Norman: "That's what we were concerned with. Based on the statements from co-workers, we were believing it at the initial stage of the investigation that this was a preplanned event. But as the investigation continued, we're to the point now where we think he may have just carried weapons with him all the time."

STORYLINE:
A man who had just been fired from a Ford dealership in Northern California returned with a gun and shot and killed two managers who had dismissed him and then killed himself, police said on Wednesday.
Steven Leet, of San Jose, was fired less than two hours before he took a gun from his car on Wednesday evening, went into the Ford Store parts department office and shot to death his boss, Xavier Souto, at point-blank range, police said.
Souto's boss, Brian Light, then tried to disarm Leet and was shot several times during the struggle, Police Chief David Swing said.
Leet, an eight-year employee whom co-workers described as quiet and who kept to himself, was fired at about 4:15 p.m. The shooting was reported shortly after 6 p.m.
After the killings, Leet went outside and killed himself, police said. Investigators found two guns at the scene.
On Wednesday, a SWAT team using a battering ram and flash grenades entered Leet's home to search it but "found no other evidence of pre-planning or motive or anything else that would lead us to why this incident occurred," said Chief Swing said.
