మందగమనంలో ఉన్న ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థను గాడిలో పెట్టేందుకు కేంద్ర ఆర్థిక మంత్రి నిర్మలా సీతారామన్ పలు కీలక ప్రతిపాదనలు తీసుకొచ్చారు. కార్పొరేట్ పన్ను తగ్గిస్తున్నట్లు జీఎస్టీ సమావేశానికి ముందు మీడియా సమావేశంలో ప్రకటించారు. దేశీయ కంపెనీలకు అన్ని సెస్, సర్‌చార్జీలతో సహా కార్పొరేట్ పన్నును ప్రభుత్వం 25.17 శాతానికి తగ్గించారు. ఈ కొత్త పన్ను రేటు ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం ఏప్రిల్ 1 నుంచే అమల్లోకి వస్తుందని ప్రకటించారు. కార్పొరేట్ పన్ను తగ్గించడం ద్వారా వచ్చే రాబడి ఏటా 1.45 లక్షల కోట్ల రూపాయల రాబడి తగ్గుతుందని నిర్మలా అంచనా వేశారు.
