కొద్ది నెలల్లోనే రాజకీయం ఎందుకు మారిపోయింది? నలభై ఏళ్ల తర్వాత సొంతంగా హస్తినపై జెండా ఎగరేయగలిగిన స్థాయిలో నిలిచిన భాజపా పరిస్థితి ఎందుకు సంక్లిష్టమైంది? అప్రతిహత విజయాలతో దూసుకెళుతున్న కమలదళాన్ని కలవరపెట్టగల స్థాయికి.. విపక్ష కూటమి ఎలా రాగలిగింది?
ప్రతిపక్షాల బలం... భాజపా భయం

సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల ముంగిట.. విపక్ష కూటమి అనూహ్యంగా పుంజుకుంది. గత ఎన్నికల్లో తిరుగులేని రీతిలో ఓట్లు, సీట్లు సాధించి.. దూసుకెళుతున్న కాషాయదండును కలవరపెడుతోంది. భాజపాకు వ్యతిరేకంగా వివిధ పార్టీల నాయకుల మధ్య ఐక్యత మరింత పెరుగుతోంది. కాంగ్రెస్ పెద్దన్న బాధ్యతలో పార్టీలను ఏకతాటిపైకి తెచ్చేందుకు కృషి చేస్తోంది. రాష్ట్రాల హక్కులను కమలదళం కాలరాస్తోందన్న ఆవేదనే ప్రతిపక్షాల ఐక్యతకు పెద్ద ఊతంగా నిలుస్తోంది. కోల్కతా ఐక్యతా ర్యాలీ మరింత ఉత్సాహం తెచ్చింది. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు, బంగాల్ సీఎం మమతా బెనర్జీలో కూటమిలో క్రియాశీలకంగా మారుతున్నారు.
బలోపేతం దిశగా..
ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితుల్లో భాజపాను ఒంటరిగా ఎదుర్కోలేమనే ఉద్దేశంతో.... ప్రతిపక్షాల కూటమి ఆలోచనకు బీజం వేసింది కాంగ్రెస్. అందుకు తగ్గట్టుగా కాంగ్రెస్ అధ్యక్షుడు రాహుల్ గాంధీ అన్ని పార్టీలను కలుపుకుపోయేందుకు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నామంటూ సంకేతాలు పంపారు. పాత మిత్రులను కలుపుకునేందుకు శ్రమించారు. భాజపాకు వ్యతిరేకంగా పోరాడుతున్న పశ్చిమ్ బంగ ముఖ్యమంత్రి మమతా బెనర్జీ, ఏపీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు ప్రతిపక్ష కూటమివైపై మొగ్గు చూపడం వల్ల మరింత బలం చేకూరింది.
చంద్రబాబు రాకతో...
ప్రతిపక్షాలను కలుపుకుపోతే భాజపాను ఢీకొట్టగలమే భావన అందరిలో ఉన్నా.. ఏదో ఓ మూల సందేహం. పార్టీలు చివరి వరకు ఐక్యంగా ఉంటాయా అని. కానీ ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు రాకతో పరిస్థితి మారిపోయింది. ఏపీకి అన్యాయం చేస్తున్నారనే కారణంగా భాజపా నుంచి విడిపోయి, కేంద్ర మంత్రివర్గం నుంచి వైదొలిగి ప్రతిపక్షాల కూటమికి మద్దతు తెలిపారు చంద్రబాబు.
కూటమిలో చేరికతో సరిపెట్టలేదు బాబు. దేశవ్యాప్తంగా అప్పటివరకు ఎవరికి వారే అన్నట్లు ఉన్న విపక్షాల్ని ఏకం చేసేందుకు తనవంతు శ్రమించారు. ఆయన కృషి ఫలించింది. పార్లమెంటు శీతాకాల సమావేశాలకు ఒక రోజు ముందు దిల్లీలో చంద్రబాబు నేతృత్వంలో జరిగిన విపక్షాల భేటీయే ఇందుకు నిదర్శనం. ఆ సమావేశానికి 14 పార్టీల అగ్రనేతలు హాజరయ్యారు. కోల్కతా ర్యాలీ సమయానికి ఆ సంఖ్య 23కి చేరింది. కాంగ్రెస్, తృణమూల్ కాంగ్రెస్, తెదేపా, జేడీఎస్, డీఎంకే, సీపీఐ, సీపీఎం, ఆమ్ఆద్మీ, ఎన్సీపీ, నేషనల్ కాంగ్రెస్ వంటి ప్రాంతీయ పార్టీలు ర్యాలీలో భాగస్వాములయ్యాయి.
అందరినీ కలిపింది సమాఖ్యస్ఫూర్తి....
భాజపా పాలనలో రాష్ట్రాల హక్కులకు భంగం వాటిల్లిందని ప్రాంతీయ పార్టీలన్నీ భావిస్తున్నాయి. సమాఖ్యస్ఫూర్తికి భాజపా నేతృత్వంలోని కేంద్రం తూట్లు పొడుస్తోందన్నది ఆయా పార్టీ ఆవేదన. ఈ భావన పార్టీల ఐక్యతను మరింత పటిష్ఠం చేస్తోంది. రాష్ట్రాలపై సీబీఐ, ఐటీ వంటి సంస్థలను ఉసిగొలుపుతోందనే ఆగ్రహమూ పెరిగిపోయింది.
కేసులతో కొందరిలో భయం..భయం
ప్రతిపక్షాల ఐక్యత పెరిగిపోతోందని భావించిన భాజపా...కేసులతో కొందరిని భయపెడుతోందని ఆరోపిస్తున్నారు విపక్ష నేతలు. సమాజ్వాదీ పార్టీ అధినేత అఖిలేశ్ మెడకు ఇసుక అక్రమ తవ్వకాల కేసు చుట్టుకుంది. ఈ కేసు విచారణలో సీబీఐ దూకుడు పెంచింది. అఖిలేశ్నే విచారిస్తామని ప్రకటనలు చేస్తోంది.
బీఎస్పీ అధినేత్రి మాయావతిపైనా అవినీతి కేసులు నడుస్తున్నాయి. మాయావతి కూడా ప్రతిపక్ష కూటమికి దూరం జరిగారు. ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్లోనూ కాంగ్రెస్తో తెగదెంపులు చేసుకున్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలో ఎస్పీ, బీఎస్పీ కూటమి ఉంటుందని ప్రకటించారు.
దేశాన్ని ఏకతా స్ఫూర్తితో నిలుపుతామని.. ప్రధాని నరేంద్రమోదీ పలు సందర్భాల్లో చెబుతుంటారు. అది ఎంత వరకూ సాధ్యమైందో తెలీదు కానీ... ప్రతిపక్షాలన్నీ ఏకం కావడానికి మాత్రం మోదీనే కారణం. మరి.. మోదీపై వ్యతిరేకతో.. అధికారంలోకి రావలసిన అనివార్యతో కానీ.. ఎన్నికల ముంగిట మాత్రం అన్ని పక్షాలు ఏకతా రాగాన్ని ఆలపిస్తున్నాయి.

"You know, I just started by writing a story about a, a father and two boys. And then I told my kids that I was writing this story. They often ask, 'What are you doing? What are you writing about? What's going on?' And I told them and they did not want the story to be written about them. They were adamant that they, like, that I not tell a story that had anything to do with them or resembled them in any way. I changed it one boy and that still was not sufficient, and then I realized that it sort of didn't matter whether it was a boy or a girl, and I started writing about a dad and his daughter and I sort of based a lot of that character on a sort of combination of my two nieces: one who just does, only reads all day long and that's all she wants to do. They have pictures of her, like, on a boat, on a canoe, reading. And then I sort of devised this strange science fiction sort of conceit around it. And so the movie kind of evolved and the writing process over the course of many years while I was acting in other movies or even writing other things, and I kept coming back to this. And when I decided that I wanted to try to direct something that I was also acting in, which I wasn't sure that I could pull off, I chose to do this one because it felt the most manageable in some way. It was, it had the fewest number of characters and locations and it felt closest to my heart. And so I thought that that would be, that was important because it's something I have to live with for a few years, and that's kind of how it came to be."

"He really knew what he wanted and he doesn't stop until he gets it, which I think is great. I remember one line at the end of the movie where we just kept going over and over and over - ADR (additional dialogue recording) over and over and over. But I think that's a quality that I really admire."

"There was no question she should be, play the part and we did have great relationship. I loved working with her. One of the things I loved the most was that she usually would come in always very prepared, do the scene, and then I would think, like, 'Well, I'm the director. I'm supposed to tell her something,' and so I would say something to her. And it would make her, it would be a little bit worse, and then I would give her more direction and it would be a little bit worse, and then I would say, like, 'Let's go back to the way you were doing it first and that was perfect - forget everything that I said.' And then once I learned that, I very, it saved a lot of time because she would come in and I would say, 'Perfect.' And then we could just sort of carry on without having to give her much direction at all and we could get through our days very quickly."

"I think Anna said, said it beautifully. It's true - it makes it a little bit easier because you've been living with it for so long, because the words are words that you wrote and even if you can't remember them exactly, there is sort of the gist of it, the spirit of it is there. But I did mostly remember all of it. And I, I think that, you know, it would have been impossible had I not been fortunate enough to have people who were extremely over-qualified around me helping make the movie. It, it sort of seems like I'm the guy who did everything - writing, directing and acting - but that's just not the case. There are so many other people that are shaping it and those people have so much experience, they had so much experience that it made it, and they were so talented, that it just made it much easier."

STORYLINE:
CASEY AFFLECK'S DYSTOPIAN DRAMA PREMIERES IN BERLIN
Casey Affleck's latest directorial offering, "Light of My Life," depicts a world in the aftermath of a virus that has "ravaged" the female population.
Written by and starring the Oscar-winning actor, the film follows a father (Affleck) and daughter (Anna Pniowsky) as they hide away in a forest, avoiding predatory men who are seeking to snatch the girl.
The film is showing at the this year's Berlin International Film Festival, where it will receive its premiere on Friday night (8 FEB. 2019).
While the film's presentation comes at a time when gender equality is a prevalent topic at the festival and in Hollywood, Affleck says his story, which looks at a world without women, was conceived "before a lot of these conversations sort of surfaced and became so much a part of the public dialogue today."
