నేడే.. శివసేన శాసనసభాపక్ష నేత ఎన్నిక

మహారాష్ట్రలో భాజపా శాసనసభాపక్ష నేతగా ఫడణవీస్ బుధవారం ఎన్నికయ్యారు. ఈ తరుణంలో నేడు తమ పార్టీ శాసనసభాపక్ష నేతను ఎన్నుకోనుంది శివసేన. ఇందుకోసం ఇటీవల జరిగిన ఎన్నికల్లో గెలుపొందిన పార్టీ ఎమ్మెల్యేలు సెంట్రల్ ముంబయిలోని సేన భవన్లో హాజరవనున్నారు. భాజపా-శివసేన మధ్య ప్రతిష్టంభన కొనసాగుతుండటం వల్ల ఈ సమావేశానికి ప్రాధాన్యం ఏర్పడింది.

మహారాష్ట్రలో ప్రభుత్వ ఏర్పాటుపై భాజపా-శివసేన కూటమి మధ్య ప్రతిష్టంభన కొనసాగుతున్న వేళ.. నేడు శాసనసభాపక్ష నేతను ఎన్నుకోవాలని నిర్ణయించింది శివసేన. ఈ మేరకు కొత్తగా ఎన్నికైన ఎమ్మెల్యేలతో సెంట్రల్ ముంబయిలోని సేన భవన్‌లో సమావేశం నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు ఆ పార్టీ వర్గాలు వెల్లడించాయి.

మహారాష్ట్ర అధికారం విషయంలో చెరిసగం ఫార్ములాను పాటించాలని శివసేన గట్టిగా కోరుతున్నప్పటికీ.. అందుకు భాజపా అంగీకరించడం లేదు. 288 స్థానాలున్న మహారాష్ట్ర అసెంబ్లీలో భాజపా 105, శివసేన 56 సీట్లు గెలుచుకున్నాయి. ఇటీవల ఆరుగురు స్వతంత్ర ఎమ్మెల్యేలు చేరడం వల్ల శివసేన బలం 62కు చేరింది. ప్రతిపక్ష ఎన్సీపీ 54, కాంగ్రెస్‌ 44 స్థానాలు కైవసం చేసుకున్నాయి.

ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా మరోసారి ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం చేసేందుకు దేవేంద్ర ఫడణవీస్‌ సిద్ధమవుతున్నారు. భాజపా శాసనసభాపక్ష నేతగా ఆయనను భాజపా ఎమ్మెల్యేలు బుధవారం ఏకగ్రీవంగా ఎన్నుకున్నారు. మరోసారి శాసనసభ పక్షనేతగా ఎన్నికైన ఫడణవీస్.. మిగిలిన వారికి కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు. శివసేన అధినేత ఉద్ధవ్ ఠాక్రేకూ ధన్యవాదాలు చెప్పారు.

3. Search helicopter takes off
STORYLINE:
The brother of a British woman who disappeared after attending a late-night beach party on a Cambodian island said Wednesday he believes she is alive and that her family is planning to hire a private team of professional searchers to comb the jungle for her.
Harry Bambridge, the brother of 21-year-old backpacker Amelia Bambridge, said he "absolutely" believes there is a chance his sister is still alive.
She was last seen Oct. 23 on the island of Koh Rong off the coast of southwestern Cambodia.
The brother is one of at least three family members who have come to the island to join the land and sea search.
The police chief for the Cambodian province said earlier Wednesday that he fears she has drowned, but that searches for her will continue. The provincial governor has vowed to search until the case is resolved.
Harry Bambridge has also told reporters that his family wants to conduct more searches inland, which has thick jungle.
Koh Rong, about 25 kilometres (15 miles) offshore, covers an area of about 78 square kilometres (30 square miles).
The Bambridge family believe there is a possibility Amelia might have been abducted or lost at sea.
