చుట్టూ నీరు... 8 రోజులుగా ఇంటిపైనే దంపతులు!
ఉత్తరాది రాష్ట్రం బిహార్లో వరదలు బీభత్సం సృష్టిస్తున్నాయి. పలు ప్రాంతాలు జలదిగ్బంధమయ్యాయి. 8 రోజులుగా ఇక్కడి 18 గ్రామాలు నీటి ముప్పులోనే చిక్కుకున్నాయి. ముంగేర్ నగరంలో పరిస్థితి మరీ ఘోరం. టెలిడీహ పరిధిలోని కృష్ణానగర్ గ్రామానికి చెందిన ప్రజలు దుర్బర జీవనం గడుపుతున్నారు. తమ ఇల్లు పూర్తిగా నీట మునగగా.. పక్కింటి పైకప్పు పైన జీవనం సాగిస్తున్నారు భార్య, భర్త.

చుట్టూ నీరు... 8 రోజులుగా ఇంటిపైనే దంపతులు! ఎడతెరిపి లేని వానలతో బిహార్ అతలాకుతలమవుతోంది. పలు ప్రాంతాలు నీటమునిగాయి. ముంగేర్ నగరంలో పరిస్థితి మరీ దయనీయంగా మారింది. వరదలతో ఇక్కడి 18 గ్రామపంచాయితీలు తీవ్ర ప్రభావానికి గురయ్యాయి. టెలిడీహ పరిధిలోని కృష్ణానగర్ గ్రామం చెరువును తలపిస్తోంది. 8 నుంచి 10 అడుగుల మేర నీరు చేరి... ఇళ్లన్నీ మునిగిపోయాయి. దాదాపు 40 కుటుంబాలు ఊరు వదిలి.. బరియర్పుర్-ఖరగ్పుర్ రహదారి వెంబడి దుర్బర జీవితాన్ని అనుభవిస్తున్నారు.
అయితే.. అనారోగ్యం కారణంగా ఉమాకాంత్ పాసవాన్, గీతా దంపతులు ఎటూ వెళ్లలేక పక్కింటిపైనే జీవిస్తున్నారు. 2 మేకలు, 4 కోడిపుంజులతో సహా 8 రోజులుగా అక్కడే ఉంటున్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలోనే వేరే ప్రాంతంలో నివసిస్తున్న వారి కుమారుడు... ఈ విషయం తెలుసుకొని తమ తల్లిదండ్రులను రక్షించాల్సిందిగా అధికారులను వేడుకుంటున్నాడు.

Chinese President Xi Jinping attended a grand gathering to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) on the National Day on Tuesday and delivered an important speech at the event.
"Today we hold this grand gathering here to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. At this very moment, with great joy, people of different ethnic groups around China and overseas Chinese are proud of our great motherland with sincere wishes," said Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission.
On behalf of the CPC Central Committee, the National People's Congress, the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Central Military Commission, Xi expressed deep mourning for all the revolutionary and other martyrs for their immortal contributions to the independence of the nation and liberation of the people, as well as the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people. He also extended warm congratulations to people of different ethnic groups and patriotic compatriots in China and overseas, and expressed sincere gratitude to friends of various countries who have been concerned with and supported China's development.
On the Tian'anmen Rostrum where late Chinese leader Mao Zedong pronounced the birth of new China 70 years ago, Xi said, "seventy years ago, Comrade Mao Zedong stood here and solemnly declared to the world the founding of the People's Republic of China, and that the Chinese people had stood up." He added that the great event completely changed Chinese people's plight of poverty, weakness and oppression for over a century since the advent of modern times, and led the Chinese nation to step onto a wide and promising path of realizing the great rejuvenation.
Over the 70 years, Chinese people of different ethnic groups have worked hard with one mind and an enterprising spirit to make great achievements that won high esteem of the world, said Xi.
"Today, a socialist China is standing proudly in world's east, and no force can change the position of our great motherland, and no force can stop the Chinese people and the Chinese nation from stepping forward," Xi said.
While forging ahead, China must uphold the leadership of the CPC and stick to the principal status of the people as well as the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and in the meantime comprehensively implement the CPC's basic theory, line and strategy while working consistently to meet the people's aspiration to live a better life, so as to keep moving history forward, Xi said.

A military parade and mass pageantry are scheduled following the gathering.
The scale of the parade is greater than the ones commemorating the 50th and 60th anniversaries of the PRC founding, as well as the V-Day military parade in 2015.
The military parade is expected to showcase China's achievements in building its national defense and armed forces in the past 70 years and reflect the outcomes of the reform of the people's armed forces.
With 70 big floats in 36 formations, about 100,000 ordinary residents are scheduled to march down Chang'an Avenue in downtown Beijing from east to west in the mass pageantry on the National Day.
