కర్ణాటక అసెంబ్లీ సంయుక్త సమావేశం ప్రతిపక్షాల నిరసనలతో దద్దరిల్లుతోంది. జేడీ(ఎస్)-కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వానికి సభలో మెజారిటీ లేదంటూ భాజపా నేతలు గవర్నర్ వాజూభాయ్ వాలా ప్రసంగాన్ని అడ్డుకున్నారు.

డిసెంబర్లో మంత్రివర్గ విస్తరణ తరువాత మొదటిసారిగా ఈ అసెంబ్లీ సమావేశాలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. రాష్ట్రంలో నెలకొన్న రాజకీయ సంక్షోభం నేపథ్యంలో అధికార జేడీ(ఎస్)-కాంగ్రెస్ కూటమిలోని అసంతృప్త శాసనసభ్యులను తమవైపు తిప్పుకుని అధికారం కైవసం చేసుకోవాలని భాజపా తీవ్రంగా ప్రయత్నిస్తోంది.

బడ్జెట్ సమావేశాల తొలిరోజే సభలో గందరగోళం రేగింది. శాసనసభ ఉభయసభలనుద్దేశించి గవర్నర్ వాజూభాయ్వాలా చేస్తున్న ప్రసంగాన్ని భాజపా సభ్యులు అడ్డుకున్నారు. ప్రభుత్వానికి తగినంత మెజారిటీ లేనందున గవర్నర్ తన ప్రసంగాన్ని ఆపాలని పోడియంలోకి వచ్చి ఆందోళనకు దిగారు. దీంతో గవర్నర్ తన ప్రసంగాన్ని మధ్యలో ముగిస్తున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు.

కర్ణాటక ముఖ్యమంత్రి కుమారస్వామి, ఆర్థిక మంత్రిత్వ బాధ్యతలనూ నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. కుమారస్వామి రెండవసారి సంకీర్ణ ప్రభుత్వం తరపున రాష్ట్ర బడ్జెట్ను ఫిబ్రవరి 8న ప్రవేశపెట్టనున్నారు.

The Rio de Janeiro State Council of Brazil held a grand Spring Festival celebration on Monday, marking the first Spring Festival celebration since the State Council passed a bill in 2016 to make the Chinese New Year holiday an official holiday.
According to the documents, the first batch of Chinese immigrants moved from Macao to Rio de Janeiro in the early 19th century to cultivate tea. To commemorate the contributions of Chinese immigrants to Brazil, the Brazilian federal government also designated Aug. 15 of each year as the National Chinese Immigration Day.
With the steady development of China-Brazil relations, more and more Chinese companies have chosen to invest in Brazil, and more and more Chinese are working and living in Brazil.
"At present, the Chinese community in Rio de Janeiro is getting bigger and bigger. So I think that I have the responsibility to make the Chinese New Year the official festival of the state. The Chinese living in the state can understand our intentions and feel at home during the celebration," said Jucelia Oliveira Freitas, member of the State Council.
In Brazil, overseas Chinese are also able to watch the Spring Festival Gala through live stream.
Sun Teying, a Chinese immigrant from east China's Zhejiang Province, has been living in Brazil for over 50 years. The four generations of the family have gathered together to celebrate the Spring Festival this year.
"The performance of the Spring Festival Gala was very exciting. Not only we like it, but also our next generation in Brazil, my daughter-in-law and my nephew's wife, they are all Brazilians, and they also like it very much." said Sun.
"Our family is very united. This is the most that I have learned from the Chinese culture. We families should help each other. I hope this virtue will also be passed on to my daughter who is going to be born soon," said Nicole, Sun's family member.
With the increasing influence of the Chinese New Year in the world, media coverage of the Spring Festival has become more and more in-depth. Reporters from Rede Globo, an influential Brazilian free-to-air television network, visited the Suns to learn about the Chinese New Year customs and specially produced a program to introduce the Chinese New Year to the Brazilian audience.
