జేఎన్యూలో దాడికి పాల్పడింది తామే అని సోమవారం ప్రకటించిన హిందూ రక్షాదళ్ జాతీయ అధ్యక్షుడు పింకీ చౌదరి నేడు మరో ప్రకటన విడుదల చేశారు. తనను, తన అనుచరులు 150మందిని అరెస్టు చేసుకోవచ్చని వెల్లడించారు. జాతి వ్యతిరేక చర్యలకు పాల్పడితే దాడులు కొనసాగుతాయని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. అయితే.. పింకీ ప్రకటనపై దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నారు పోలీసులు.

దిల్లీ జవహర్లాల్ నెహ్రూ విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో దాడికి బాధ్యులమైన తమను అరెస్టు చెయ్యొచ్చని ప్రకటించారు హిందూ రక్షాదళ్ అధినేత పింకీ చౌదరి. జేఎన్యూ విద్యార్థులపై దాడి చేసింది తామేనని సోమవారమే ప్రకటించారు పింకీ. అనంతరం నేడు అరెస్టు చేసుకోవచ్చంటూ వెల్లడించారు. దిల్లీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి అరవింద్ కేజ్రీవాల్పై గతంలో దాడి చేశానని పోలీసులకు వెల్లడించారు పింకీ చౌదరి. జాతి వ్యతిరేక చర్యలకు పాల్పడితే జేఎన్యూపై ఇదే విధంగా దాడులు చేస్తామని వెల్లడించారు.
పోలీసులు తన ఇంటికి వచ్చి అరెస్టు చేసుకోవచ్చని, ఎలాంటి ఆటంకం ఉండదని వెల్లడించారు. రాజ్యాంగబద్ధంగా ఎలాంటి మార్పు జరగని కారణంగానే చట్ట వ్యతిరేక పంథాను ఎంచుకున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు పింకీ. తన 150మంది అనుచరులు కూడా స్వచ్ఛందంగా అరెస్టయ్యేందుకు సిద్ధమన్నారు.
"జేఎన్యూ ఒక ఉగ్రవాదుల అడ్డాగా మారింది. అక్కడ చదువుకోవాలి.. కానీ అది జరగడం లేదు. అక్కడి వారు జాతి వ్యతిరేక కార్యకలాపాల్లో నిమగ్నమయ్యారు. మేం దీన్ని సహించబోం. ఏ దేశంలో ఉంటున్నారో ఆ దేశానికి మద్దతివ్వాలి. వ్యతిరేకంగా మాట్లాడే హక్కు ఎవరికీ లేదు. అలా మాట్లాడే వారిపై చర్యలు తీసుకునేందుకు వర్సిటీకి అధికారం లేకపోవచ్చు. కానీ మేం తప్పకుండా చర్యలకు దిగుతాం."

అయితే పింకీ చౌదరి చేసిన ప్రకటనపై దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నారు పోలీసులు. నిందితులను నిర్ధరించేందుకు వీడియో ఫుటేజీతో పాటు ఫేస్ రికగ్నిషన్ సిస్టమ్స్ను ఉపయోగిస్తున్నారు.

"Well, I think we've begun to see some of the ripple effects and the political ripple effects. Obviously, the vote by the Iraqi parliament, which is not binding, but sends a strong political message about the undesirability of American forces remaining in Iraq. We've seen demonstrations, massive demonstrations in Iran, massive demonstrations in Iraq. Reactions among the Shiite population in Lebanon. Mobilization of the pro-Iranian axis. And these statements by Iran, the announcement that they were going to further diminish their commitment to the, to the nuclear deal. So, those are the first political ripple effects of something that's going to an event whose repercussions we're going to live with in the coming days, but also in the coming years. What we need to see the next shoe to drop is going to be what is the actual response? What is the reaction once Iran has decided what it will do, to take on sort of the measure of where it is? Does it react militarily or not? Does it react directly or does it? Is it one of its proxies or allied forces? Is it directly against the United States? Is it in the cyber areas, in the nuclear domain? I think those are the questions that Iranian leaders are discussing today. And they may not themselves know where they'll end up."

"They said they're taking this final step, which is that they're no longer going to be bound by one aspect of the nuclear deal, but they have not withdrawn from the nuclear deal. They're still accepting the special access by the IAEA, the atomic energy inspectors who are going to continue to have access to the sites to see what's happening. And they've left open the door for diplomacy to say, well, if the sanctions are lifted or if they get sanctions relief, they might be willing to come back into compliance with some of those steps. So there's a window. But, you know, each month or two months that go by when Iran announces one more step away from the deal, that window gets gets smaller. And the risk that Iran decides to take steps that are going to bring it in a place that will raise the kinds of concerns that existed in 2012, 13, 14 before the deal was reached, we get closer to that point. But let's not jump to the conclusion today that Iran has left the deal or that the deal is over. I think the things to watch in the coming again, weeks, months, are do they allow access to the inspectors? If they don't, that's a very ominous sign. Do they walk away from the NPT, the Nuclear Proliferation, Nonproliferation Treaty? If they do that that's an equally if not far more ominous sign. I think that's let's see what they do, not just what they say. Let's see if they begin enriching at 20% or not. Let's see what kind of centrifuges they put in, that they start reactivating. So let's see what they do. They've made a statement. There still is sort of a gap between what they say and what they do. Then let's see what the next what the next step may be."

"When Secretary Pompeo says we're safer today than we were before, I think myself and many others believe that is manifestly incorrect because we see which has spoken about the threats to Americans in the Middle East, in the Gulf, perhaps elsewhere. So why else would we be evacuating Americans from Iraq if they were not in greater danger?"

"I think Secretary Pompeo and others like him believe that the US is really threatened when others are less afraid of the United States than the United States is afraid of them. And this is their notion is that they need to reestablish, in their view, a deterrent effect where other countries have to worry about the US's reaction and not the other way around. So, that's why I think if you listen to what Secretary Pompeo is saying, he is saying that there might be a little bit of noise, in the short term. Yes, maybe there'll be some attacks against Americans. What he is thinking of is in the long term, the Trump administration has reestablished, in their view, the notion that it's up to others to worry about what the Americans will do not for the United States to worry about what they will do. That's why he says, and again, I have no reason to doubt that he believes what he's saying, that America is safer. America is safer, in his view, because it has restored the sense of deterrence, because the US is prepared to do virtually anything in response to an attack against any American. Of course, the fallacy, at least the flaw in that reasoning from from from my perspective and many of my colleagues, is that the short term matters and the short term has long term consequences, and that if Iran today makes the same calculus, the same mirror image calculus that the US does, which is that if it doesn't react, its own security is going to be at stake. And it, too, needs to send the message that it's not going to stay passive in the face of an attack. Then you're in a cycle that the US could dominate because it's stronger but that the US can't end. And as long as this continues, American lives will be at risk. "

STORYLINE:
Tensions in the Middle East have been at a boiling point since the US killed a top Iranian last week in Iraq, with the ripple effects starting to be felt.
The funeral for Revolutionary Guard General Qassem Soleimani drew a crowd said by police to be in the millions in the Iranian capital, filling thoroughfares and side streets as far as the eye could see.
His slaying has already pushed Tehran to say it is abandoning the remaining limits of its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers as Soleimani's successor and others vow to take revenge.
In Baghdad, the parliament has called for the expulsion of all American troops from Iraqi soil, something analysts fear could allow Islamic State militants to mount a comeback.
"Obviously, the vote by the Iraqi parliament, which is not binding, but sends a strong political message about the undesirability of American forces remaining in Iraq," said the International Crisis Group's President and CEO Rob Malley in an interview with the Associated Press.
In Iraq's deeply divided terrain, with a resigned prime minister and raging proxy war between Iran and the U.S., ending America's 17-year military presence in Iraq is a risky undertaking and won't be easy. It could lead to a resurgence of the Islamic State group and further entrench Iran.
"What we need to see the next shoe to drop is going to be what is the actual response," said Malley, although he cautioned that Iran's leaders "may not themselves know where they'll end up," at this point.
On the nuclear deal, Iran now says it won't observe the accord's restrictions on fuel enrichment, on the size of its enriched uranium stockpile and on its research and development activities. That's a much-harsher step than they had planned to take before the attack.
The announcement represents the clearest nuclear proliferation threat yet made by Iran since Trump unilaterally withdrew from the accord in 2018 and reimposed sanctions last year.
