కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ఆత్మపరిశీలన చేసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని ఆ పార్టీ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి జ్యోతిరాదిత్య సింధియా వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. పార్టీ నాయకత్వ లేమితో సతమతమవుతోందని సీనియర్ నేత సల్మాన్ ఖుర్షీద్ అభిప్రాయపడిన నేపథ్యంలో సింధియా ఈ కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు.

కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి జ్యోతిరాదిత్య సింధియా కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ఆత్మపరిశీలన చేసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని పేర్కొన్నారు. పార్టీలో నాయకత్వ శూన్యత ఉందని సీనియర్ నాయకుడు సల్మాన్ ఖుర్షీద్ చేసిన విమర్శలపై ఆయన ఈ విధంగా స్పందించారు.

"నేను ఇతరుల (సల్మాన్ ఖుర్షీద్) విమర్శలపై స్పందించను. కానీ కాంగ్రెస్ ఆత్మపరిశీలన చేసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. పార్టీ పరిస్థితులను సమీక్షించుకుని, మెరుగుపరుచుకోవాల్సి ఉంది. ఇది అత్యవసరం."- జ్యోతిరాదిత్య సింధియా, కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి

మహారాష్ట్ర అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికల్లో మాత్రం కాంగ్రెస్ మంచి ఫలితాలను సాధిస్తుందని సింధియా విశ్వాసం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

సాధారణ ఎన్నికల్లో ఓటమి పొందిన కాంగ్రెస్ తేరుకోవడానికి మరింత సమయం పడుతుందని ఇంతకుముందు సల్మాన్ఖుర్షీద్ అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. రాహుల్గాంధీ అధ్యక్ష పదవికి రాజీనామా చేసి వెళ్లిపోవడాన్ని ప్రస్తావిస్తూ.. నాయకత్వ లేమి పార్టీని ఇబ్బందిపెడుతోందని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.

"So I did the original work, discovering lithium-ion batteries and how they worked. Then John (B. Goodenough - whom he's sharing the 2019 Nobel Prize with) came up with one of the electrodes that made it commercially viable. But critical was, (that) Sony was willing to invest 10 years engineering to make a real product, and Sony is vertically integrated. So they wanted batteries for their devices. They wanted their own batteries."

"I think that by using batteries to store energy from the sun and wind power we can eliminate coal power plants. Coal is very dirty and it's expensive, and I think most utilities I prefer to go to solar and wind and store it in batteries either at the grid or in your local neighbourhoods."

STORYLINE:
Three scientists on Wednesday were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their contributions to the development of lithium-ion batteries, which have reshaped energy storage and transformed cars, mobile phones and other devices.
One of the winners, M. Stanley Whittingham, a British-American chemistry professor at the State University of New York at Binghamton, said he was "shocked" when the Nobel Committee reached out to inform him of the news.
"It still hasn't sunk into me, as to what it really means," Whittingham told The Associated Press in Ulm, Germany.
Whittingham shares the prize with John B. Goodenough, a German-born American engineering professor at the University of Texas, and Akira Yoshino, of chemicals company Asahi Kasei Corp. and Meijo University in Japan.
After the announcement in Stockholm, Whittingham expressed hope that the Nobel spotlight could give a new impetus to efforts to meet the world's ravenous - and growing - demands for energy and help tackle climate change.
"I think that by using batteries to store energy from the sun and wind power we can eliminate coal power plants," he said.
The winning trio will share a 9-million Swedish kronor ($918,000) cash award and their gold medals and diplomas will be conferred in Stockholm on Dec. 10 - the anniversary of prize founder Alfred Nobel's death in 1896.
