2. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Brigadier Azeez Rashed, Military expert loyal to Houthis:
"We have no choice but to make such painful strikes, and many Western, Eastern and Arab military experts have analysed the situation and their conclusion was that Saudi Arabia will not stop its aggression against Yemen unless we launch such strategic attacks using drones."

4. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Mohamed El-Samady, Sanaa resident:
"Using drones helped us in accomplishing a part of our goals. The first thing is to hit the enemy in the depth and this is very excellent because the enemy does not want negotiations. Our territories will return only by force (referring to the areas of Jizan and Abha and Asir, which belonged to Yemen before 1934). At the same time, we have not assaulted anyone, so it is our right to defend ourselves with all the power we have got."

6. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Aly Abdo, Sanaa resident:
"We want the bomb-carrying drones to resume bombing hard in response to the aggression that hits civilians everywhere."

8. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Ali El-Sheeby, Sanaa resident:
"The bomb-carrying drones had raised my spirits as a Yemeni. When I see that Yemeni people are now able to produce such drones we are delivering a message to the world that Yemenis are capable of manufacturing, producing and developing (such drones), and this makes us proud."

STORYLINE:
Yemen's Iranian-allied Houthi rebels said Tuesday they attacked a Saudi airport and military base with a bomb-laden drone.
The assault was acknowledged by Saudi Arabia as Mideast tensions remain high between Tehran and the United States.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The attack on the Saudi city of Najran came after Iran announced it has quadrupled its uranium-enrichment production capacity, though still a level far lower than needed for atomic weapons, a year after the U.S. withdrew from its nuclear deal with world powers.
The U.S. has deployed bombers and an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf over still-unspecified threats from Iran.
In the drone attack, the Houthis' Al-Masirah satellite news channel said early Tuesday they targeted the airport in Najran with a Qasef-2K drone, striking an "arms depot."
Najran, 840 kilometres (525 miles) southwest of Riyadh, lies on the Saudi-Yemen border and has repeatedly been targeted by the Iran-allied Houthis.
On the street of Sanaa, some Yemenis welcomed the attacks on Saudi Arabia.
Ali el-Sheeby, a resident in Sanaa said the bomb-carrying drones could tell the world that "Yemenis are capable of manufacturing, producing and developing and this makes us proud."
A statement earlier on the state-run Saudi Press Agency quoted Saudi-led coalition spokesman Col. Turki al-Maliki as saying the Houthis "had tried to target" a civilian site in Najran, without elaborating.
Al-Maliki warned there would be a "strong deterrent" to such attacks and described the Houthis as the "terrorist militias of Iran."
Similar Houthi attacks in the past have sparked rounds of Saudi-led airstrikes on Yemen, which have been widely criticised internationally for killing civilians.
