జాతీయజెండా వైపు చూడలేదని రూ.లక్ష జరిమానా

ఫ్రెంచ్ బాస్కెట్​బాల్ మాజీ ఆటగాడు గ్వెర్చాన్ యబుసెలెకు లక్ష రూపాయల జరిమానా విధించింది చైనా బాస్కెట్​బాల్ అసోసియేషన్​. మ్యాచ్​కు ముందు జాతీయగీతం ఆలపిస్తున్న సమయంలో చైనా జాతీయ పతాకాన్ని చూడకుండా కిందకు చూసినందుకుగానూ ఈ శిక్ష వేసింది.

అంతర్జాతీయ మ్యాచ్​లకు ముందు ఇరు దేశాల జాతీయపతాకాన్ని ఎగరేస్తూ.. వారి జాతీయగీతాన్ని ఆలపిస్తుంటారు క్రీడాకారులు. ఇందుకు తగినట్లుగానే ఆటగాళ్లు జెండావైపు చూస్తూ గౌరవపూర్వకంగా నిల్చొంటారు. అయితే ఫ్రెంచ్ బాస్కెట్​బాల్ మాజీ ప్లేయర్ గ్వెర్చాన్​​.. జాతీయపతాకం వైపు చూడకుండా తగిన మూల్యం చెల్లించుకున్నాడు. అతడికి దాదాపు లక్ష రూపాయల(1400 డాలర్లు) జరిమానా విధించింది చైనా​.

చైనాలోని నాన్జింగ్ టాంగ్సీ మంకీ కింగ్​ జట్టుకు చెందిన గ్వెర్చాన్ యబుసెలెకు ఈ శిక్ష విధించింది చైనీస్ బాస్కెట్ బాల్ అసోసియేషన్(సీబీఏ)​. ఇటీవల జరిగిన ఓ మ్యాచ్​కు ముందు చైనా జాతీయగీతాలాపన జరుగుతోంది. ఆ సమయంలో యబుసెలె చైనా జాతీయపతాకాన్ని చూడకుండా కిందకు చూస్తున్నాడు.

ఇందుకు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేసిన సీబీఏ అతడికి సీరియస్ వారింగ్ ఇచ్చింది. అంతటితో ఆగకుండా 10,000యువాన్ల(రూ.లక్ష) జరిమానా విధించింది. ప్రస్తుతం ఈ విషయం నెట్టింట వైరల్​గా మారింది. చైనా సామాజిక మాధ్యమాల్లో నెటిజన్లు విశేషంగా స్పందిస్తున్నారు.

జరిమానా అంశంపై యబుసెలె ఇంతవరకు స్పందించలేదు. అతడు ఈ ఏడాదే సీబీఏతో ఒప్పందం కుదుర్చుకున్నాడు. అంతకుముందు బోస్టన్ సెల్టిక్స్ ఫ్రాంఛైజీ తరఫున ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహించాడు.

ప్రజల్లో దేశభక్తి భావాన్ని పెంపోదించాలని ఉద్దేశంతో జాతీయగీతాన్ని అవమానపరిచేలా ఎవరైన ప్రవర్తిస్తే వారిని శిక్షించేలా 2017లో చైనా అధ్యక్షుడు షీ జిన్​పింగ్​ నిబంధన తీసుకొచ్చారు. ఉల్లంఘించిన వారికి 3ఏళ్ల జైలు శిక్ష విధించేలా శాసనం చేశారు.
