ఐసీసీ నిర్వహించిన అండర్‌–19 మహిళల టీ20 ప్రపంచకప్‌లో టీమ్ ఇండియా అమ్మాయిలు చెలరేగిపోయారు. మైదానంలో విజృంభించిన వనితలు ఎట్టకేలకు కప్పును కైవసం చేసుకున్నారు. అలా సౌత్ ఆఫ్రికా గడ్డపై చరిత్ర సృష్టించిన మన అమ్మాయిలను బీసీసీఐ బుధవారం సాదర మర్యాదలతో సత్కరించింది. న్యూజిలాండ్తో జరిగిన మూడో టీ20కు ముందు ఈ వేడుకను నిర్వహించారు. దీంతో ఓ వైపు పురుషల టీ20 విజయానికి.. మహిళల ప్రపంచ కప్ సక్సెస్ సెలబ్రేషన్స్కు అహ్మదాబాద్‌ నరేంద్రమోదీ స్టేడియం వేదికగా మారింది.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో బీసీసీఐ అధ్యక్షుడు రోజర్‌ బిన్నీ, కార్యదర్శి జై షా, ఉపాధ్యక్షుడు రాజీవ్‌ శుక్లా, కోశాధికారి ఆశిష్‌ తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు. అనంతరం అమ్మాయిలు మ్యాచ్‌ను వీక్షించారు. వీరిని మైదానంలో జీప్‌లపైనా ఊరేగించారు. ముందే ప్రకటించిన రూ.5 కోట్ల నజరానాకు సంబంధించి చెక్కును సచిన్ చేతుల మీదుగా షెఫాలి బృందానికి అందించారు.
"అద్భుతమైన ఘనత సాధించిన అమ్మాయిలకు అభినందనలు. కొన్నేళ్ల పాటు దేశం మొత్తం ఈ గెలుపు సంబరాలు చేసుకుంటుంది. 1983 (పురుషుల జట్టుకు తొలి ప్రపంచకప్‌)లో నా క్రికెట్‌ కల మొదలైంది. కానీ ఇప్పుడీ ప్రపంచకప్‌ గెలిచిన అమ్మాయిలు ఎంతో మంది స్వప్నాలకు బీజం వేశారు. దేశానికి ప్రాతినిథ్యం వహించాలని యువతులు కల కనేలా చేశారు. మహిళల క్రికెట్‌ ఎదుగుదలకు బీసీసీఐ శ్రమిస్తోంది. భవిష్యత్‌లో మరిన్ని మంచి ఫలితాలు వస్తాయి"అని ఈ సందర్భంగా సచిన్ అమ్మాయిల జట్టును కొనియాడాడు.
