ప్రస్తుత ప్రపంచకప్​లో దారుణంగా విఫలమయ్యాడు షోయబ్​ మాలిక్​. ఆల్​రౌండర్​గా.. 15 మంది జట్టు సభ్యుల జాబితాలో చోటు లభించినా ఆశించిన మేర ప్రతిభ చూపించలేకపోయాడు. 3 మ్యాచ్​ల్లో బ్యాటింగ్​కు దిగి మొత్తం 8 పరుగులే చేశాడు. వాటిలో రెండు డకౌట్లు (ఆస్ట్రేలియా, భారత్​) ఉన్నాయి. చివరిగా ఈ వరల్డ్​కప్​లో మాంచెస్టర్​లోని ఓల్డ్​ ట్రాఫోర్డ్​ మైదానంలో జూన్​ 16న టీమిండియాతో మ్యాచ్​లో బరిలోకి దిగాడు. ఈ మ్యాచ్​లో గోల్డెన్​ డకౌట్​గా వెనుదిరిగాడు షోయబ్​. అదే అతనికి చివరి మ్యాచ్​.

37 ఏళ్ల మాలిక్​ 2015లో టెస్టు క్రికెట్​కు వీడ్కోలు పలికాడు. 287 వన్డేలు ఆడిన ఈ క్రికెటర్​.. 34.55 సగటుతో 7 వేల 534 పరుగులు చేశాడు. బౌలింగ్​లోనూ రాణించి 158 వికెట్లు పడగొట్టాడు. 35 టెస్టులు ఆడిన ఈ సీనియర్​ క్రికెటర్​... 1898 పరుగులు చేసి 32 వికెట్లు ఖాతాలో వేసుకున్నాడు.

You know, it's like you have to be with no single emotion on the court, and that's just not tennis. I'm sorry, but it's not."

Former world number one Victoria Azarenka hit out at the umpire after her defeat by seventh seed Simona Halep at Wimbledon on Friday - branding the decision to issue her with a code violation for racket abuse as "pathetic".
The Belarusian lost 6-3, 6-1 but was warned by the umpire after the incident which Azarenka branded as "not tennis".
