ప్రపంచకప్ గెలిచేందుకు భారత్కు మరో రెండు అడుగుల దూరం మాత్రమే ఉంది. నేడు సెమీస్లో కివీస్తో సమరానికి సిద్ధమైంది. మాంచెస్టర్ వేదికగా మధ్యాహ్నం 3 గంటలకు మ్యాచ్ ప్రారంభం కానుంది.

"I guess I write all different times of the year you know? And especially at something like this I will play like a sunnier set. You know if I'm doing my own show and it's nearly two hours long in a theater then I will play like a song for 12 minutes. It was amazing to just sit there. The people they love their food, they love good company, they always have a great time. "I've been really impressed with Taylor Swift. Like this isn't the first time she sort of stepped in on behalf of artists. I think there was a new platform that was starting, I can't remember what it was, but she wrote an open letter to them saying, 'You're not playing the right amount of royalties. I want to keep my music off here unless you change to, you know, be in concordance with this other platform.' And they wrote back and they agreed to change their terms, so I think she uses her platform and her power to, you know, to bring more attention to other artists and artists who don't have that voice. So I really admire her for that. But yeah owning your masters is that's the kind of new and radical thing. Generally the label owns the masters. I know the first person I heard of doing it was Ray Charles. But it's right that all these questions get asked, especially now that music isn't being bought. There is a question I think some people just feel like music kind of just comes to you and, you know, especially you can watch, you can watch people's videos on YouTube, but it doesn't you know, it doesn't really generate any income for the artist or the director or the producer or the writers. So, it's definitely an issue you know. As a young artist and a new artist, how do you make a living you know? When my record came out, if you were to hear it, you had to go to a shop and buy it. That was the only way you can be guaranteed to hear it. And now it's so different for artists. And I think that needs be changed, so she is a good advocate for artists definitely."

CORINNE BAILEY RAE: 'I'VE BEEN REALLY IMPRESSED WITH TAYLOR SWIFT'
Corinne Bailey Rae admires Taylor Swift for taking a stand where artists' rights are concerned.
"I've been really impressed with Taylor Swift. This isn't the first time she sort of stepped in on behalf of artists," the British singer-songwriter said in an interview before her BST in Hyde Park festival set.
"I think she uses her platform and her power to, you know, to bring more attention to other artists and artists who don't have that voice so I really admire her for that."
Swift recently wrote that she was sad and grossed out that her music catalog now belongs to Scooter Braun, after Braun's Ithaca Holdings announced it was acquiring Big Machine Label Group, which released all of Swift's studio albums and owns her masters.
Swift left Big Machine and signed with Universal Music Group in November because she said she knew that re-signing with the group that had managed her since she was 15 would only result in her not owning her future work.
Bailey Rae, who shot to fame in 2006 thanks to Grammy-nominated tracks "Like a Star" and "Put Your Records On," says that the industry has changed considerably since her debut, but the ownership of masters is still a sore point.
"It's definitely an issue you know. As a young artist and a new artist, how do you make a living you know? When my record came out, if you were to hear it, you had to go to a shop and buy it. That was the only way you can be guaranteed to hear it. And now it's so different for artists. And I think that needs be changed, so she is a good advocate for artists definitely."
Bailey Rae was performing in Hyde Park Saturday (6 JULY 2019) before headliner Stevie Wonder. The Brit has had the legendary singer's support since the very beginning.
