గ్లోబల్​ టీ20లో టొరంటో నేషనల్స్ తరఫున ఆడుతున్న టీమిండియా మాజీ ఆటగాడు యువరాజ్ సింగ్ అదరగొట్టాడు. 21 బంతుల్లో 35 పరుగులు చేసి జట్టు గెలుపులో కీలకపాత్ర పోషించాడు.

యువరాజ్ సింగ్.. ఈ పేరు చెప్పగానే ఆరు బంతుల్లో ఆరు కళ్లు చెదిరే సిక్సులు గుర్తుకు వస్తాయి. స్టైలిష్​ లెఫ్ట్ హ్యాండ్ బ్యాటింగ్​తో ఎంతో మంది అభిమానుల్ని సంపాందించిన యువీ.. ఇటీవలే క్రికెట్​కు రిటైర్మెంట్ ప్రకటించాడు. ప్రస్తుతం గ్లోబల్​ టీ20లో ఆడుతోన్న ఈ మాజీ టీమిండియా ఆటగాడు మరోసారి బ్యాట్​ పవర్ చూపించాడు. తన సత్తా ఏమాత్రం తగ్గలేదని నిరూపించాడు.

శనివారం ఎడ్మాంటన్‌ రాయల్స్‌తో జరిగిన మ్యాచ్‌లో యువరాజ్‌ 21 బంతుల్లో మూడు సిక్సర్లు, మూడు ఫోర్లతో 35 పరుగులు చేసి జట్టు విజయంలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషించాడు. అందులో ఓ సిక్స్‌ మ్యాచ్‌కే హైలైట్‌గా నిలిచింది.

టొరంటో నేషనల్స్​ ముందు ఎడ్మాంటన్‌ 192 పరుగుల లక్ష్యాన్ని ఉంచింది. నాలుగో స్థానంలో వచ్చిన యువరాజ్‌ తనదైన శైలిలో బ్యాట్‌ ఝుళిపించాడు. ఎడ్మాంటన్‌ బౌలర్ షాదాబ్‌ ఖాన్‌ బౌలింగ్‌లో మిడ్‌ వికెట్‌ మీదుగా కొట్టిన సిక్స్​ మ్యాచ్​కే హైలైట్​గా నిలిచింది.

ఈ మ్యాచ్‌లో టొరంటో నేషనల్స్‌ రెండు వికెట్ల తేడాతో విజయం సాధించింది. 29 పరుగులకే రెండు వికెట్లు కోల్పోయి కష్టాల్లో పడిన తరుణంలో హెన్రిచ్‌ క్లాసన్‌-యువరాజ్‌ ఆదుకున్నారు. వీరిద్దరూ మూడో వికెట్‌కు 56 పరుగుల భాగస్వామ్యాన్ని నెలకొల్పారు.

STORYLINE:
A top Omani diplomat met the Iranian president on Sunday, after weeks of volatility over the Strait of Hormuz, the passageway for a fifth of all globally traded crude.
During the meeting, Hassan Rouhani called Britain's impounding of an Iranian tanker off the coast of Gibraltar "illegal", Iran's official news agency IRNA repotrted.
The ship was sized earlier this month.
Iran later sized a British tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.
Rouhani said the British have gotten no benefits and will definitely suffer a loss for seizing an Iranian supertanker, according to the report.
Oman, seen as a neutral Gulf Arab country that has acted as a facilitator of talks between the US and Iran in the past, sits across the strait from Iran, at the mouth of the Persian Gulf.
The visit was seen as a possible effort at diffusing a diplomatic standoff with the UK.
It comes amid a spike in tensions between Washington and Tehran stemming from President Donald Trump's decision last year to withdraw the US from Iran's nuclear deal with world powers and impose sweeping sanctions on the country.
