తిరువనంతపురం వేదికగా భారత్​తో జరిగిన రెండో టీ20లో వెస్టిండీస్ 8 వికెట్ల తేడాతో విజయం సాధించింది. ఫలితంగా మూడు మ్యాచ్​ల సిరీస్​ 1-1 సమమైంది. బుధవారం జరిగే నిర్ణయాత్మక మూడో టీ20లో ఫలితం తేలనుంది.

వరుస విజయాలతో జోరుమీదున్న టీమిండియాకు వెస్టిండీస్ షాకిచ్చింది. తిరువనంతపురంలో జరిగిన రెండో టీ20లో విండీస్ 8 వికెట్ల తేడాతో విజయం సాధించింది. భారత్ నిర్దేశించిన 171 పరుగుల లక్ష్యాన్ని 15 బంతులు మిగిలుండగానే పూర్తి చేశారు కరీబియన్ బ్యాట్స్​మెన్. ఓపెనర్ లెండిల్ సిమ్మన్స్(67) అర్ధశతకంతో రాణించగా.. మిగతా బ్యాట్స్​మెన్ తలో చేయి వేసి జట్టుకు విజయాన్నందించారు. భారత బౌలర్లలో జడేజా, సుందర్ చెరో వికెట్ తీసుకున్నారు.

లక్ష్య ఛేదనలో విండీస్​కు శుభారంభం దక్కింది. ఓపెనర్లు సిమ్మన్స్, లూయిస్(40) తొలి వికెట్​కు 73 పరుగులు జోడించారు. లూయిస్​ను వాషింగ్టన్ సుందర్ ఔట్ చేయగా.. అనంతరం క్రీజులోకి వచ్చిన హిట్మైర్(23) బౌలర్లపై ప్రతి దాడికి దిగాడు. జడ్డూ బౌలింగ్​లో వరుసగా రెండు సిక్సర్లు కొట్టి భారత అభిమానుల గుండెల్లో గుబులు పుట్టించాడు.

"Today we recognise the Rwandese government's decision to deploy our Ebola vaccine in a new immunisation program that is called 'Umurinzi' (meaning 'Hangover Guard'). This is being coordinated by the ministry of health and the new initiative will offer the vaccine to people who cross the borders with DRC on a regular basis as part of work, as part of school or other family commitments that they have and the goal is to boost the protection against Ebola in these populations."

STORYLINE:
Johnson & Johnson, the producer of a new vaccine aimed at protecting people against the Ebola virus, announced on Sunday it would be providing 200,000 Ebola vaccines to Rwanda to stop the virus spreading from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Speaking in the border city of Rubavu, Jos Noben, Project Management Lead at Janssen Pharmaceutica - which is owned by Johnson & Johnson - said the vaccine would "boost protection" for those crossing the border between the two countries.
The company made the announcement alongside the DRC's health ministry on the Rwanda border where the first batch of immigration officials were vaccinated.
The World Health Organisation has said the Ebola outbreak in the DRC is a "Public Health Emergency of International Concern".
There are over 3000 cases with over 2000 people killed by the disease making it the second worst outbreak of Ebola to date.
