అండర్-19 ప్రపంచకప్ ఫైనల్లో బంగ్లా-భారత్ ఆటగాళ్ల మధ్య వివాదం జరిగిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. యువ క్రికెటర్ల తీరుపై సీరియస్ అయిన ఐసీసీ.. ఐదుగురిపై చర్యలూ తీసుకుంది. ఇందులో భారత స్టార్ బౌలర్ రవి బిష్ణోయ్ కూడా ఉన్నాడు. అయితే అతడికి సస్పెన్షన్ పాయింట్లు విధించడంపై తన తండ్రి మంగిలాయ్ బిష్ణోయ్ ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశాడు.

అండర్-19 ప్రపంచకప్ ఫైనల్‌ ముగిశాక దురుసుగా ప్రవర్తించిన ముగ్గురు బంగ్లాదేశ్ ఆటగాళ్లతో పాటు ఇద్దరు భారత క్రికెటర్లపై ఐసీసీ సస్పెన్షన్ పాయింట్లు విధించింది. ఇందులో భారత స్టార్ బౌలర్ రవి బిష్ణోయ్ కూడా ఉన్నాడు. ఇతడు టోర్నీలో 17 వికెట్లతో అత్యధిక వికెట్లు తీసిన బౌలర్గా పేరుతెచ్చుకున్నాడు. అతడిపై ఐసీసీ శిక్ష వేయడంపై తన కుటుంబం ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేసింది. తాజాగా ఈ విషయంపై బిష్ణోయ్ తండ్రి మంగిలాయ్ బిష్ణోయ్ స్పందించాడు.
"నా కొడుకు ఇలా ప్రవర్తించడం ఆశ్చర్యంగా ఉంది. మాకున్న నలుగురు పిల్లల్లో బిష్ణోయ్ చాలా ప్రశాంతంగా ఉంటాడు. ప్రత్యర్థి ఆటగాడు తన జట్టుతో ప్రవర్తించిన తీరు వల్లే అతడు సహనం కోల్పోయి ఉంటాడు. ఈ ఘటన జరిగినప్పట్నుంచి నా భార్య సరిగా భోజనం చేయట్లేదు."

మ్యాచ్ అనంతంరం బంగ్లాదేశ్ ఆటగాళ్ల తీరుపై క్షమాపణలు తెలిపాడు ఆ జట్టు సారథి అక్బర్. ఆసియా కప్లో ఓటమికి ప్రతీకారం తీర్చుకున్నట్లు భావించే తమ ఆటగాళ్లు కాస్త ఉద్వేగానికి లోనయ్యారని అభిప్రాయపడ్డాడు.

ప్రపంచకప్ గెలిచాక బంగ్లా క్రికెటర్లు తౌహిద్‌, షమీమ్‌, రకీబుల్‌ హసన్‌ టీమిండియా కుర్రాళ్ల వైపు దూసుకొస్తూ అసభ్యకర సంజ్ఞలు చేశారు. ఫలితంగా ఆకాశ్‌ సింగ్‌, రవి బిష్ణోయ్.. బంగ్లా ఆటగాళ్లతో తలపడినంత పని చేశారు. క్రమశిక్షణ నియమావళిని ఉల్లంఘించిన ఆకాశ్‌కు 8, బిష్ణోయ్‌కి 5, తౌహిద్‌కు 10, షమీమ్‌కు 8, రకీబుల్‌కు 4 చొప్పున సస్పెన్షన్ పాయింట్లు విధించినట్లు ఐసీసీ తెలిపింది. ఒక సస్పెన్షన్ పాయింట్‌ పొందిన ఆటగాడు ఒక వన్డే లేదా టీ20, లేదా అండర్-19 లేదా ఏ-జట్ల తరఫున మ్యాచ్ ఆడేందుకు అనర్హుడవుతాడు. ఈ శిక్ష ప్రకారం బిష్ణోయ్ 5 మ్యాచ్లకు దూరం కానున్నాడు.

"I wanted to bring everybody to the Rainbow Room because I'm celebrating New York. It's misfits. It's brave, bold, audacious, hopers, impossible dreamers we know who've come to this city to find themselves, and the celebration of the grit and the glamour that New York provides. It is also, I feel like it's one of those the dichotomy of this city is really interesting to me because the glamour of uptown, the vibrance of Harlem to I would say the gaudiness of Times Square to the dark romance, beautiful romance and poetic romance to downtown east village and lower east side and Brooklyn. I wanted to bring it all together because I feel like personally _ I travel a lot across the world. I came from Nepal and New York has been my home the last 20 years and I think when I look_ when I travel everywhere and when I come back to New York I feel there's no place like this because it truly is a celebration of grit and hard work and there's a, I'll always say you'll see a girl walking out of a gala in a ball gown and running into a subway, you know picking up her ball gown or there's a guy coming out of the car, you know, just getting into a limousine. There's just so many things within the few radius of the avenues and the blocks, I feel like you see different characters and I left Nepal 20 years ago because I wanted to live my American dream and to be able to come here and to realize it, I wanted to bring it to (the) Rainbow Room because it is such an iconic place and I wanted it to be intimate. I wanted it to be glamorous. I wanted it to remind all of us why we do what we do, whether through New York Fashion Week. You know, New York and the fashion week and the city itself, the relevance itself is being questioned. Let's not forgot what it stood for, what it stands for and I think this city is a true melting pot of diversity."

"I would say rather than political messaging I think with every collection of mine sometimes there's a blatant conversation about what culturally I think is important to have a conversation and sometimes I feel like I want to leave it to the audience watching to figure out. There are a lot of like nuances, cultural nuances, the color use of white, women in white suits, women in white coats and you know what that signifies and so a lot of these _ I feel like _ and I also feel like, you know, in this day and age, sensuality and what someone may deem sexy is totally up to a woman's hand. It's no longer us dictating it so my job as I always say, my job as a designer, creative person is to tell a story, offer options and see what they feel."

"One of the things you want to do as a brand is not just talk about cultural and political but also environmentally, right? While I haven't been fully there yet we do whatever little we can so it's made out of recycled plastic bottles and I wanted to, I feel like I was very daunted about the idea that I have to be able to do everything like 100% recycled like all upcycled and all that, and I realized, you know you actually don't. If you can do even the smallest bit. Even if it's like 5-10 percentage, collectively it becomes such a force."

STORYLINE:
PRABAL GURUNG CELEBRATES THE CHURNING CREATIVE ENERGY OF NYC
In celebration of the grit and eclectic glamour of his adopted New York City, Prabal Gurung staged his New York Fashion Week show at the famed Rainbow Room high above Midtown with his favorite street musician on a piano."
But Gurung, a fashion darling who has dressed Michelle Obama, Kate Middleton and Oprah Winfrey, went distinctly non-political this go-around, choosing to honor the city's impossible dreamers and creative energy in a colorful, sensuous collection that included a strapless ice blue taffeta gown made of recycled plastic bottles.
The Nepal native put out looks of black, white and jewel tones, along with lively surrealist floral prints by the artist Isabelle Menin as Washington Square Park pianist Colin Huggins played while models from around the globe in a range of sizes and ages walked a circular runway.
He showed evening dresses, and jacket and trouser sets mixed with elegant coats and jackets. There was one in mint and a jacket in white with fluttery ostrich feathers. Expressing the dichotomy of New York's boroughs and neighborhoods, from high society to Bohemian, Gurung included a Fair Isle turtleneck, a tartan draped dress in ivory and black, and a leopard print coat with matching boots, all after Huggins opened the show with a rousing rendition of the Frank Sinatra standard "New York, New York."
"There's no place like New York," Gurung told The Associated Press backstage. "I left Nepal 20 years ago to come here because I wanted to live my American dream. I wanted to come to the Rainbow Room because it's such an iconic place. ... I wanted to remind all of us why we do what we do when the relevance of New New York Fashion Week and the city itself is being questioned. Let's not forgot what it stands for. It's a true melting pot of diversity."
As for the taffeta gown made of recycled bottles, he said he wanted to do his part in an industry counted among the world's greatest polluters.
"If you can just do the smallest bit we can collectively become such a force," he said.
Gurung also worked in a different shade of blue from the bottle dress with a crystal-encrusted neckline. It was a sky blue he used in a voluminous skirt worn with a feather-adorned oxblood turtleneck, and for a riot of taffeta at the shoulders of a low cut top worn with black trousers and long black gloves.
An ivory plaid and tartan draped dress was worn belted with an ivory embossed crocodile leather platform boot with stripes at the sides. The standout boot style also came in black and red.
