దక్షిణాఫ్రికాతో జరిగిన తొలి టెస్టులో భారత జట్టు ఘనవిజయం సాధించింది. 203 పరుగుల తేడాతో గెలిచి 1-0 ఆధిక్యం సాధించింది. ఐదో రోజు 395 పరుగుల లక్ష్యంతో బరిలోకి దిగిన సఫారీ జట్టు త్వరత్వరగా వికెట్లు కోల్పోయి పరాజయం పాలైంది. ఆ జట్టులో డేన్ పీట్(56) టాప్ స్కోరర్. షమి 5 వికెట్లు తీయగా అశ్విన్ 1, జడేజా 4 వికెట్లు తీసి విజయంలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషించారు.

ఐదు రోజు ప్రారంభంలోనే బ్రూన్ను పెవిలియన్ చేర్చాడు షమి. తర్వాతి ఓవర్లోనే బవుమాను ఔట్ చేసి సఫారీ జట్టులో ఆందోళనను నింపాడు అశ్విన్. అప్పటినుంచి ఏ దశలోను సఫారీలు కోలుకోలేదు. 26వ ఓవర్లో మూడు వికెట్లు తీసి సత్తాచాటాడు జడేజా.

మర్కరమ్ కాసేపు నిలిచినా.. జడేజా అద్భుతమైన రిటర్న్ క్యాచ్కు వెనుదిరిగాడు. బవుమా (0), డుప్లెసిస్ (13), డికాక్ (0), ఫిలాండర్ (0), కేశవ్ మహారాజ్ (0) దారుణంగా విఫలమయ్యారు. అనంతరం క్రీజులోకి వచ్చిన పీట్.. ముత్తుస్వామితో కలిసి పోరాడాడు. ఈ క్రమంలో అర్ధసెంచరీని పూర్తి చేసుకున్నాడు. చివరకు షమి బౌలింగ్లో 56 పరుగుల వ్యక్తిగత స్కోరు వద్ద 9వ వికెట్గా వెనుదిరిగాడు. ఫలితంగా 91 పరుగుల భాగస్వామ్యానికి తెరపడింది.

అంతకు ముందు మయాంక్ అగర్వాల్ (215) అద్భుత డబుల్ సెంచరీ, రోహిత్ శర్మ (176) శతకాలతో తొలి ఇన్నింగ్స్లో టీమిండియా 502 పరుగులకు డిక్లేర్ చేసింది. అనంతరం దక్షిణాఫ్రికాను 431 పరుగులకే కట్టడి చేసింది.

రెండో ఇన్నింగ్స్లోనూ రోహిత్ శర్మ సెంచరీ చేయగా.. పుజారా అర్ధసెంచరీ చేశాడు. మొత్తంగా 323 పరుగుల వద్ద డిక్లేర్ చేసింది. 395 పరుగుల భారీ లక్ష్యాన్ని సఫారీల ముందుంచింది.

A magnificent 4D projection show and large-scale light shows were held in Shanghai and in south China's Nanning city respectively to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Every night at 19:00, 20:00 and 20:30 during the week-long National Day holiday, 30 high-power projectors lit up the base of Shanghai's Oriental Pearl Tower for 12 minutes with a unique 4D light show, showcasing the great development of the city in the past 70 years.
"It's like a four-dimensional show and through the cartoon figures, the show presents Shanghai in different stages," said a visitor.
Residents and tourists in Nanning, capital city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, were also enchanted by wonderful light shows during the holiday.
Buildings across the city were ablaze with lights, displaying patterns such as the image of the national flag, and patriotic slogans.
In addition, a 7-meter-high, 500-meter long light show along the Yongjiang River created a strong festive atmosphere. The unique dynamic picture displayed the splendid sceneries and special ethnic cultures of Guangxi.
