కొలంబో వేదికగా జరిగిన అండర్-19 ఆసియా కప్లో భారత్ విజేతగా నిలిచింది. బంగ్లాతో తుదిపోరులో 5 పరుగుల తేడాతో నెగ్గింది. టీమిండియా బౌలర్ అధర్వ 5 వికెట్లు తీసి మ్యాన్ ఆఫ్ ద మ్యాచ్ అవార్డు దక్కించుకున్నాడు.

అండర్-19 ఆసియాకప్ విజేతగా భారత్ నిలిచింది. కొలంబో వేదికగా ఉత్కంఠ భరితంగా సాగిన తుదిపోరులో టీమిండియా కుర్రాళ్లు విజయం సాధించారు. బంగ్లాదేశ్తో జరిగిన ఫైనల్లో ఐదు పరుగుల తేడాతో గెలిచారు. 5 వికెట్లతో విజృంభించిన భారత బౌలర్ అధర్వకు మ్యాన్ ఆఫ్ ద మ్యాచ్ అవార్డు దక్కింది.
మొదట బ్యాటింగ్ చేసిన భారత్.. బంగ్లా బౌలర్ల ధాటికి 32.4 ఓవర్లలో 106 పరుగులకే ఆలౌటైంది. టీమిండియా బ్యాట్స్మెన్ ధ్రువ్(33), కరన్లాల్(37) పరుగులతో రాణించారు. బంగ్లా బౌలర్లలో మృత్యుంజయ్, షమీమ్ చెరో 3 వికెట్లు తీశారు.
అనంతరం బరిలో దిగిన బంగ్లా 101 పరుగులకు కుప్పుకూలింది. అధర్వ కేవలం 28 పరుగులే ఇచ్చి 5 వికెట్లతో విజృంభించాడు. అతడి స్పిన్ దెబ్బకు బంగ్లా బ్యాట్స్మెన్ పెవిలియన్కు క్యూ కట్టారు. ఆకాశ్ సింగ్ 3 వికెట్లు తీసి తన వంతు పాత్ర పోషించాడు. బంగ్లా కెప్టెన్ అక్బర్ అలీ 21 పరుగులే అత్యధికం.

"Now, it is dangerous, yes, because the spirit in which these countries are doing it (accusing Venezuela of dealing with guerrillas and drug traffickers), and above all with countries that border with Venezuela, implies that they (the United States) have activated a mechanism, at least theoretically, to militarily attack Venezuela. We will defend our territory with our weapons system, with our Bolivarian Armed Forces and their dignity, with our militia which tops 3 million militants, and all Venezuelans."

"The Secretary General, Antonio Guterres the Secretary General (United Nations), asked for dialogue (between Colombia and Venezuela regarding the FARC militants). I tell them, President Maduro is willing, willing to a dialogue with the Colombian government to avoid a situation that might lead to conflict in Venezuela, to coordinate the security both on the borders, in our territory and theirsWe agree with having a dialogue but what Mr. Duque (Ivan Duque, President of Colombia) said is 'No. Juan Guaido (meaning he wanted to deal with Guaido rather than Maduro). I have a dialogue with Venezuela. I have a dialogue with Juan Guaido.' What kind of disrespect is that to the Secretary General of the United Nations? You have a dialogue with who? A deserter with no troops in the middle of a war. By God, you have to respect Mr. Antonio Guterres' goodwill and we have the obligation. So if they don't want to, we will defend our territory through all means and every possible way."

"All (people), like we like to say, no more Trump, they should be saying it. All people of goodwill in the world, facing the aggressions of that government (United States) against various countries in this world, against all of humanity I would say, because they leave the Paris Climate Accord,they leave the (UN) Human Rights Council, they go against the United Nations, they threaten to leave the United Nations and the countries of the world, but firstly, the people of the United States should oppose it (government of Donald Trump) with such behavior, such attitude from those governing. Hopefully there will be a reflection. I was asked with Bolton, without Bolton (John Bolton, former National Security Council advisor fired by Donald Trump this week). It doesn't matter, they should reflect. That they respect. We know that they are the political expression of a group of large corporations but they should get closer to the United Nations' Charter. They should respect other countries' sovereignty. They can do what they want on their own territory and their people will deal with that. I am sure that the people of the United States sooner or later will reverse that system and really govern in a real democracy, not a plutocracy of two impossible parties."

STORYLINE:
Venezuela's Foreign Minister said Friday that with or without John Bolton, the Trump administration has a 'mechanism' for war with Venezuela.
"The spirit in which these countries are doing it (accusing Venezuela of dealing with guerrillas and drug traffickers), and aboveall with countries that border with Venezuela, implies that they (the United States) have activated a mechanism, at least theoretically, to militarily attack Venezuela," said Jorge Arreaza, speaking to a handful of reporters at the United Nations ' offices in Geneva.
"We will defend our territory with our weapons system, with our Bolivarian Armed Forces and their dignity, with our militia which tops 3 million militants, and all Venezuelans."
The minister's statement comes on the heels of Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó refuting allegations earlier in the day that he has ties to an illegal armed group in Colombia.
Government officials have launched an investigation based on photos published on social media purportedly showing him posing with two members of a criminal gang.
Bolton was a leading figure in the administration of President Donald Trump in pressing for Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro to step down so that U.S.-backed opposition leader Juan Guaido could assume power.
Last month Bolton announced a fresh round of hard-hitting sanctions.
"They (US government) should respect other countries' sovereignty," said Arreaza on Friday. "I am sure that the people of the United States sooner or later will reverse that system and really govern in a real democracy, not a plutocracy of two impossible parties."
Given Trump's own floating of the possibility of using military force in Venezuela, it is unclear whether Bolton's absence will signal any softening of his approach.
A tweet from Trump on Thursday seemed to indicate it wouldn't lead to a softening.
"In fact, my views on Venezuela, and especially Cuba, were far stronger than those of John Bolton. He was holding me back!" the president said.
