భారత్​-బంగ్లా తొలి టీ20 మ్యాచ్​ జరుగుతుందా..!

దిల్లీ వేదికగా భారత్​-బంగ్లా మధ్య జరగనున్న తొలి టీ20పై ఇంకా సందిగ్ధం కొనసాగుతోంది. కాలుష్యం అధికంగా ఉండటం వల్ల మ్యాచ్ నిర్వహణపై అనుమానాలు వెల్లువెత్తుతున్నాయి.

దిల్లీలోని అరుణ్‌జైట్లీ స్టేడియంలో కాసేపట్లో ప్రారంభకానున్న భారత్​ - బంగ్లాదేశ్‌ మ్యాచ్ నిర్వహణపై అనుమానాలు వెల్లువెత్తుతున్నాయి. కాలుష్య తీవ్రత అధికమవ్వడం వల్ల దిల్లీలో పొగమంచు కమ్ముకుంది. మ్యాచ్‌ నిర్వహించడానికి సాధ్యపడే అవకాశాలు తక్కువగా ఉన్నాయని భావిస్తున్నారు. అయితే మ్యాచ్‌పై తుదినిర్ణయం ఇంకా తీసుకోలేదని బీసీసీఐ ఉన్నతాధికారులు తెలిపారు.

" మ్యాచ్‌ ఇంకా రద్దు చేయలేదు. భారత్-బంగ్లాదేశ్‌ మధ్య టీ20 రాత్రి 7 గంటలకు ప్రారంభమవుతుంది. మ్యాచ్‌పై తుదినిర్ణయం ప్రకటించడానికి ఇంకా సమయం ఉంది ".

ప్లడ్​లైట్ల వెలుగులో మైదానం స్పష్టంగానే కనిపిస్తున్నా... ఆటగాళ్లకు తెలుపు బంతి కనబడుతుందా? లేదా అనేది ప్రశ్నార్థకంగా మారింది.

పొగమంచు కారణంగా దిల్లీ విమానశ్రయానికి రావాల్సిన 32 విమానాలను వేరే నగరాలకు దారి మళ్లించారు. ప్రస్తుతం దిల్లీలో గాలి నాణ్యత ప్రమాదకర స్థితికి చేరుకుంది. సాయంత్రం 6.30 తర్వాత మ్యాచ్‌ నిర్వహణపై కీలక నిర్ణయం తీసుకోవచ్చు. భారత సారథి విరాట్‌ కోహ్లీకి విశ్రాంతి నివ్వడం వల్ల టీమిండియా ఓపెనర్ రోహిత్‌ శర్మ జట్టు సారథిగా వ్యవహరించనున్నాడు. బీసీసీఐ అధ్యక్షుడిగా గంగూలీ బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టాక జరుగుతున్న తొలి మ్యాచ్​ ఇదే కావడం విశేషం.

STORYLINE
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has expressed deep concern on Sunday over the plight of the more than 700,000 Muslim refugees from Myanmar's Rakhine State.
He called on Myanmar's government to take responsibility by dealing with the root causes of their flight and working toward their safe repatriation.
Guterres spoke at the start of a meeting with the leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), to which Myanmar belongs.
Myanmar's State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi was present at the summit being held in Nonthaburi in Thailand.
ASEAN leaders meet annually to try to work out common policies on pressing issues, but also maintain a policy of non-interference in each other's affairs.
In his opening remarks, Guterres also addressed the issue of what he called the "great fracture" in which the world's two biggest economies split the globe in two, in terms of their geopolitical and economic interests.
He did not refer to China and the United States directly as the being the two powers.
Guterres also impressed upon the leaders the need to tackle climate change.
He called to their attention to new coal-fired plants being built in the region, saying this was a development that particularly worried him.
