సుశాంత్​ ఆత్మహత్య విషయంలో ఆరోపణలు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న రియాకు మద్దతుగా నిలిచారు నటీమణులు తాప్సీ, మంచు లక్ష్మీ. మీడియా ఆమె తప్పుగా చిత్రీకరిస్తోందని ఆరోపించారు. నేరం రుజువు కాకముందే ఓ వ్యక్తిని దోషిగా చూపే ప్రయత్నాలు చేయడం సరికాదని అన్నారు.
