విక్టరీ వెంకటేశ్ 'అసురన్' రీమేక్ చేయడానికి గ్రీన్ సిగ్నల్ ఇచ్చాడు. ధనుష్ హీరోగా తమిళంలో తెరకెక్కిన చిత్రమిది. అయితే ఈ సినిమా ప్రస్తుతం ప్రైమ్లో సందడి చేస్తోంది. ఫలితంగా ఈ ప్రభావం వెంకీ రీమేక్పై పడేలా ఉంది.

రీమేక్ సినిమాలతో కెరీర్‌లో ఎన్నో మరపురాని సూపర్‌ హిట్ చిత్రాలను అందుకున్నాడు విక్టరి వెంకటేశ్. తాజాగా 'అసురన్' చిత్రాన్ని తన 75వ సినిమాగా చేయబోతున్నట్లు అధికారికంగా ప్రకటించాడు. వైవిధ్యభరితంగా తెరకెక్కిన ఈ చిత్రం ధనుష్ సినీ కెరీర్‌లోనే బిగెస్ట్‌ హిట్‌గా నిలిచి ఇంకా థియేటర్లలో సందడి చేస్తుంది. అయితే ఈ సినిమా విడుదలైన 30 రోజులకే ఈ చిత్రాన్ని అమెజాన్‌ ప్రైమ్లో ప్రదర్శిస్తున్నారు.

"Why am I deciding to resign? So that (presidential candidate Carlos (Mesa) and (opposition leader Luis Fernando) Camacho don't keep pursuing my brothers, unions. So that Mesa and Camacho don't keep burning the houses of the governor of Chuquisaca, the people of the assembly, councilmen, so that Mesa and Camacho don't keep kidnapping, treating badly, the families, where the leaders of the unions in San Luis Potosi, and our brother Teodoro Mamani, so that they don't keep pursuing the most humble people, the merchants who they won't let work in Santa Cruz, to truckers in almost every department. We are resigning, I am resigning precisely so that my brother and sisters, leaders, authorities of the socialist movements don't continue to be held hostage, chased, threatened. I am very sorry for this civic coup d'etat. And some sectors of the police had to collapse and be against democracy, against social peace, with violence, with threatening, intimidation against the Bolivian people. I want to say, brothers and sisters, the fight doesn't end here. The humble, the poor, the social sectors, professional countrymen, we are going to continue with this fight for equality for peace. And in this moment, it's important to say to the Bolivian people, it's our obligation, it's my obligation, as an indigenous president and the president of all Bolivians, look for peace. I hope Mesa and Camacho have understood my message, I'd like to request them and other civic committees, don't treat badly brothers and sisters, don't harm poor, humble people. Don't trick with lies, don't use the people, don't buy them off, to do harm to the Bolivians. Our big wish is that social peace returns, calm. I have asked, with respect to all the Bolivian people, and also to everyone how oligarchic groups conspire against the democracy. It's historic, emblematic, we know our history. However, I have the obligation to look for this peace. It hurts a lot. That Bolivians have faced this, it hurts a lot that these leaders, civic committees, and certain parts have brought this to violence, brought this aggression. And for that, and lots of reasons, I am renouncing, sending my resignation card to the plurinational legislative assembly of Bolivia."

STORYLINE:
Bolivian President Evo Morales announced his resignation on Sunday, under mounting pressure from the military and the public after his re-election victory triggered weeks of fraud allegations and deadly protests.
The decision came after a day of fast-moving developments, including an offer from Morales to hold a new election.
The crisis deepened dramatically when the country's military chief went on national television to call on him to step down.
"I am resigning precisely so that my brother and sisters, leaders, authorities of the socialist movement, don't continue to be held hostage, chased, threatened," the 60-year-old socialist leader said, portraying his departure as the culmination of a "coup d'etat."
