44 ఏళ్ల తర్వాత మోహన్బాబు అలా..!

దాదాపు 44 సంవత్సరాల తర్వాత ఓ మహిళ దర్శకత్వం వహించే సినిమాలో నటించేందుకు సిద్ధమయ్యాడు మోహన్బాబు. సూర్య హీరోగా తెరకెక్కుతున్న 'సూరరై పోట్రు'(తమిళ టైటిల్) లో ఈ నటుడు కీలక పాత్రలో కనిపించనున్నాడని చిత్రబృందం వెల్లడించింది.

విలక్షణ నటుడిగా గుర్తింపు తెచ్చుకున్నాడు మోహన్బాబు. ప్రతినాయక పాత్రల నుంచి హీరో వరకు సుమారు 500కు పైగా చిత్రాల్లో విభిన్న పాత్రల్లో నటించి ప్రేక్షకుల్ని అలరించాడు. ఇప్పుడు సూర్య హీరోగా తెరకెక్కుతున్న సినిమాలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషించనున్నాడు.
సూర్య సినిమాలో కీలక పాత్రలో కనిపించనున్న మోహన్బాబు 'సాలా కదూస్'తో ఆకట్టుకున్న సుధా కొంగర ఈ చిత్రానికి దర్శకురాలు. తెలుగులో 'సాలా కదూస్' సినిమా 'గురు' టైటిల్తో వచ్చింది.
కథకు కీలకమైన ఓ పాత్రకు మోహన్బాబు అయితేనే కరెక్ట్ అని చిత్రబృందం నిర్ణయించింది. 'సూరరై పోట్రు' అనే టైటిల్ను ఈ సినిమాకు పెట్టారు. అపర్ణా బాలమురళి హీరోయిన్.

"Your task is to take control of a robot who's trying to infiltrate our society by just having conversations. So, I mean, a lot of robot uprising scenarios are very violent, I feel like it's going to be more like they're going to just integrate, whether it's online or as an android, they're going to just talk to us first. So, you take control of a robot, who's just trying to speak, get words out. So, you have to move the mouth and tongue into the right places to make bits of your sentence happen. You have to do it quickly or your face does explode. So, your system's overload, your eyes pop out, ears pop out. And humans find this a little bit suspicious. So, if too many eyes pop out or too many facial explosions happen, the humans are like; 'You're a robot,' and you lose."

"As you go through, you unlock all of these new social features. You have to smile when someone's happy. You have to manage your eye contact, not too much, not too little. Eyebrows come into play as well. So, it's more like spinning heaps of plates as you progress through all of these social scenarios."

"We definitely take for granted how easy and effortless it is to make words happen. For a lot of people. Some people like to have difficulty speaking find our game really interesting. They play it and they like to reflect on and they're like; 'Wow, it kind of feels good because even though my face is mostly exploding, Karen in your date or your boss in the job interview, they don't really react.' So, I think a lot of people find it kind of comforting, even while still super funny."

Forget action-adventure games or first-person shooters, one quirky new video game at Los Angeles' E3 expo is all about... speaking.
Fun-themed "Speaking Simulator" sees gamers play as an android struggling to infiltrate human society.
STORYLINE:
"Speaking Simulator" is all about an android that's lost for words… or perhaps doesn't know how to articulate them.
The game, on display at E3 Expo's Indiecade showcase, is about an android struggling to infiltrate human society using nothing but a prototype tongue and lips to have conversations.
It's gamers' task to negotiate tricky conversations, so as not to arouse suspicion, therefore convincing others the android is actually human.
It was developed by Australia-based Affable Games and is due to be released on PC later this year.
"You have to move the mouth and tongue into the right places to make bits of your sentence happen. You have to do it quickly or your face does explode," explains Jed Dawson, co-founder of Affable Games.
"Your system's overload, your eyes pop out, ears pop out. And humans find this a little bit suspicious. So, if too many eyes pop out or too many facial explosions happen, the humans are like; 'You're a robot,' and you lose."
In the first level, for instance, the android goes on a date with Karen, from Human Resources. In another level, there's also a job interview. The last and hardest level is the android's State of the Union address as President.
Dawson says the game can be helpful for people that fear social scenarios like job interviews, doctor examinations and romantic conversations.
"They play it and they like to reflect on and they're like; 'Wow, it kind of feels good because even though my face is mostly exploding, Karen in your date or your boss in the job interview, they don't really react.' So, I think a lot of people find it kind of comforting, even while still super funny," he says.
One E3 visitor seems to be enjoying it: "It's pretty awesome. My face is exploding," she says.
The Electric Entertainment Expo, now simply known as 'E3', runs till June 13.
