ఇటీవల విడుదలైన మహేశ్బాబు 'మహర్షి' పాజిటివ్ టాక్తో దూసుకుపోతోంది. ఈ ఆనందాన్ని సెలబ్రేట్ చేసుకునేందుకు వియారయాత్రకు వెళ్తున్నాడు సూపర్స్టార్. ఈ విషయాన్ని ట్విట్టర్లో పంచుకున్నాడు.

"It was like 10 years ago. I saw a documentary about the whistling language from la Gomera. So at that time I was finishing another film called 'Police Adjective,' which also centers into the language and how the language is used. So yeah, I was attracted by this whistling language. I started to read about it. I went to the island and step by step I decided to make a story about the second character from 'Police Adjective.' How this guy would be 10 years in a completely, in a quite completely changed world and he also changed a lot. "

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Corneliu Porumboiu, director – on how important it was for the actors to get the whistling language right
"Vlad mainly he, we used the whistling of Vlad but at one point we doubled the actors in a few shots, you know. But for me it was important like also like an exercise for the characters because it is not a simple way to learn this and I was thinking… For me, that the actors they prepared for that. It was important like to have a certain type of seriousness about the language and also about the gestures."
5. SOUNDBITE (English) Vlad Ivanov and Catrinel Marlon, actors – on how close they got to whistling perfectly:
Marlon: "Very close. Corneliu told us, 'We cannot do doubling, so you need to…' Do you remember, he was like, 'If a Spanish guy from the island, from la Gomera…'"
Ivanonv: "Kiko Correa."
Marlon: "'Yeah. He will see, like with no sound. I want that they think, when they see that the mouth, the technique needs to be perfect without hearing the whistle.' So he wanted everything perfect. From the technique, the shape of the mouth, the tongue how you need to and then the sound of course. So it was really hard because we train a lot. We were training for almost a year."
(Reporter: "Almost a year?")
Marlon: "Yes."
Ivanonv: "Yeah yeah. We had two weeks in Bucharest and after on Skype with Kiko Correa every week So it was quite hard, quite. It was hard. It was very difficult to learn the language. But finally we did it."
Marlon: "When was your Skype conference? In the morning?"
Ivanov: "Depends of his schedule. I think no because in the morning he has lessons, Kiko Correa has a school for kids. And he teaches the kids to learn El Silbo and after 5 p.m. he has time for us."
Marlon: "So he was the lucky one because to me it was like, 'You know, Cat, I have school so can we start at 7 because at 8 I have classes?' So each morning I was, each morning when I was doing the rehearsals I would wake up in the morning and I said the night before I was saying to the people for my family, 'I'm sorry I will start training at 6:30 and then because at 7 I have class I will whistle again.' Everyone was like 'Again you whistle?' And I think all the building was hearing I was whistling, 'Who is this crazy person whistling?'"
Ivanov: "I start to learn this language on Skype I mean to have these lessons on my home. But after three lessons, my neighbor came to me and said, 'I'm sorry, I have a kid. He has to sleep, so please why are you whistling?' 'No, I'm studying El Silbo language.' 'OK, so please stop it. If you do it again, I will call the police.' 'Ok. You don't understand. I'm an actor.' 'You have to be what we want to do, what want to be, but please don't siffle (whistle).' And I was to my theater so it was OK."

Ivanov: "It's a volcanic island. Yeah, it's really nice. You have to go there."
Marlon: "It's very spectacular, yeah. It was very nice. For me, I don't know how it was for Vlad, it was the first time I was with a crew – everybody, you know - for three weeks altogether. So nobody goes home after filming, in their own house. We would go to the same hotel. It was nice to have the guys from the light, the production, the actors, all staying together full time. So it was like creating a big family that was really nice. For me it was special."

STORYLINE:
'THE WHISTLERS' ACTORS ON WAKING UP EARLY FOR LESSONS AND ANNOYING THEIR NEIGHBORS
Sometimes, art requires sacrifice – and the two stars of Romanian crime dramedy "The Whistlers" found that out the hard way.
The drama follows a crooked cop who has to learn the whistling language from the Canary Island of La Gomera in order to stage a prison break.
Learning the whistling language - called Silbo Gomero - took stars Vlad Ivanov and Catrinel Marlon almost a year of hard work with a tutor.
Marlon had to wake up early for her weekly Skype lessons because tutor Kiko Correa had early classes.
"Each morning when I was doing the rehearsals I would wake up in the morning and I said the night before I was saying to the people for my family, 'I'm sorry, I will start training at 6:30 and then because at 7 I have class I will whistle,'" said the actress at the Cannes International Film Festival, where the movie is showing in competition. "Everyone was like 'Again you whistle?'"
Although Ivanov was luckier with getting a later Skype timeslot, he had problems with his neighbors.
"After three lessons, my neighbor came to me and said, 'I'm sorry, I have a kid. He has to sleep, so please why are you whistling?'"
The film, directed by Corneliu Porumboiu, has been in the works for almost a decade after the filmmaker became interested in El Silbo.

"The Whistlers" is one of the 21 films in competition at Cannes.
