శాంతి చర్చల వేళ కాబుల్లో తాలిబన్ల దాడి
అఫ్గానిస్థాన్లో మరోసారి తాలిబన్లు పంజా విసిరారు. ఖతార్ వేదికగా అమెరికా, తాలిబన్ల మధ్య శాంతి చర్చలు జరుగుతున్న సమయంలోనే కాబుల్లో ఓ అంతర్జాతీయ స్వచ్ఛంద సంస్థ కార్యాలయంపై దాడి చేశారు. ఈ ఘటనలో 9మందికి తీవ్రగాయాలయ్యాయి.

అఫ్గానిస్థాన్లో శాంతి కోసం తాలిబన్లు, అమెరికా మధ్య ఖతార్ వేదికగా చర్చలు జరుగుతున్నప్పుడే ఆ ఉగ్రసంస్థ దాడికి తెగబడింది. కాబుల్లో ఓ అంతర్జాతీయ సామాజిక సంస్థ కార్యాలయంలోకి చొరబడి బాంబులు పేల్చారు ఉగ్రవాదులు. ఈ దాడిలో తొమ్మిది మంది తీవ్రంగా గాయపడ్డారు.
'కౌంటర్ పార్ట్ ఇంటర్నేషనల్' సామాజిక సంస్థపై దాడి జరిగిందని హోంమంత్రిత్వ శాఖ నిర్ధరించింది.
"కొంతమంది సాయుధులు సామాజిక సంస్థ పరిసరాల్లోకి చొచ్చుకెళ్లి బాంబుదాడి చేశారు. ఈ ఘటనపై సమాచారం అందుకున్న పోలీసులు సంస్థ చుట్టూ మోహరించారు. ఉగ్రవాదుల ఏరివేత కొనసాగుతోంది."

కార్యాలయంలోని 150 మంది సిబ్బందిని భద్రతా దళాలు రక్షించాయి.

కౌంటర్ పార్ట్ ఇంటర్నేషనల్ సంస్థ అపాయకర చర్యల్లో పాలు పంచుకుంటోందని, అమెరికాకు చెందిన యూస్ఎయిడ్ సంస్థతో కుమ్మక్కయిందని ట్విట్టర్ వేదికగా ప్రకటన విడుదల చేశారు తాలిబన్లు.

అఫ్గాన్లో పైచేయి సాధించేందుకు తాలిబన్లు 18 ఏళ్లుగా పోరాడుతున్నారు. అమెరికా-తాలిబన్ల చర్చలతో సమస్య పరిష్కారం అవుతుందని అందరూ ఆశించారు. అలాంటి సమయంలో జరిగిన దాడితో చర్చల్లో ప్రతిష్టంభన నెలకొనే అవకాశం ఉంది.

Concerned citizens in the United States have formed private militia groups to make a stand against illegal aliens and drug mules at the U.S.-Mexico southern border,as the contentious debate over building a wall persists in Washington.
One such group is the Arizona Border Recon. Its founder Tim Foley believes the border needs more than just a wall.
Foley, a former soldier and construction worker, describes the group as an "intelligence gathering company."
His armed unit patrols the Arizona-Mexico border searching for people crossing the border illegally.
"Without borders you end up losing your sovereignty. You lose your identity, you lose your culture. The majority of it is drugs coming across and bad guys. I mean this is the spot where people who don't want to get caught come through," Foley said.
There is no wall in this part of Arizona but a small fence. Traces of illegal crossings are remnant as the unit discovered some discarded carpet slippers used to cover footprints deep in the woods.
Foley's unit seeks to detain people they encounter on the wrong side of the wall and members are armed in case they run into danger.
"We give them food, water, and medical aids, just like humanitarians would do, but the only difference is we don't allow him to keep walking. Because we don't know who they are. So we turn them over to Border Patrol," Foley said.
Other members in of the Arizona Border Recon such as Steve Ronnebeck felt obliged to join the unit due to personal reasons.

Ronnebeck shared that working with the group is making a difference.
"It does help me with my grief. My goal is, I don't want this to ever happen to another family. No parent should ever have to bury their child," he said.
Working at cross-purposes to Arizona Border Recon is Enrique Morones. Back in 1986, he founded the non-profit group, "Border Angels".
This group keeps water satchets in the desert in the hope of preventing migrant deaths from dehydration.
"If they're so concerned about border security, have them join the Border Patrol. Eleven thousand people have died because of that wall, 11,000 people. The U.S.-Mexican border is 2,000 miles long, a third has wall. Trump's now going to add any more wall, but he will have more deaths," Morones said.
The U.S. Border Patrol said it does not endorse or support any private group or organization taking law enforcement into their own hands.
Given the rugged terrain, Foley believes a wall will not be built here and feels other methods are to be implemented to keep the border are safe from illegal aliens.

The debate over the U.S. southern border remains divisive without a clearcut action plan, giving rise to private armed groups who are taking matters into their own hands.
