నేపాల్​లో ఘనంగా​ 'ఇంద్ర జాత్రా' ఉత్సవాలు

నేపాల్​ రాజధాని కాఠ్మాండులో ఇంద్ర జాత్రా ఉత్సవం వైభవంగా జరిగింది. దేశ నలుమూలల నుంచి వేలాది మంది నగరానికి చేరుకుని లివింగ్​ గాడెస్ 'కుమారి' ఆశీర్వాదం తీసుకున్నారు. వివిధ వేషధారణలు, నృత్యాలతో జరిగిన ఉత్సవాలు అందరినీ ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి.

నేపాల్​లో ప్రతి ఏటా నిర్వహించే ఇంద్ర జాత్రా ఉత్సవాలు అంగరంగ వైభవంగా జరిగాయి. దేశ రాజధాని కాఠ్మాండులో నిర్వహించే ఉత్సవాలకు వేలాది మంది హాజరయ్యారు. స్థానికంగా 'కుమారి'గా పిలుచుకునే జీవన దేవత (లివింగ్​ గాడెస్​) ఆశీర్వాదం తీసుకున్నారు. వివిధ వేషధారణలు చూపరులను ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. డోలు వాద్యాల మధ్య నృత్యాలు చేస్తూ ఆనందంగా గడిపారు ప్రజలు.

ఇంద్ర జాత్రా ఉత్సవాలను నేపాల్​లోని హిందువులు, బౌద్ధులు కలిసి నిర్వహిస్తారు. పురాతన కాలం నుంచి నెవార్​ జాతికి చెందిన ఓ యువతిని కుమారి (దేవత)గా కొలుస్తారు. ఆమెను రథంలో కూర్చోబెట్టి కాఠ్మాండు వీధుల్లో ఊరేగిస్తారు.

వర్షాకాలం ముగిసే సమయంలో ప్రతి ఏటా ఈ ఇంద్ర జాత్రా ఉత్సవాన్ని నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ వేడుకతో అక్కడ పండుగలు మొదలవుతాయి.

BRAZIL HOSPITAL FIRE- A fire raced through a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, forcing staff to wheel patients into the streets on beds or in wheelchairs and leaving at least 11 people dead, Brazilian officials said Friday. Four firefighters were hospitalized after battling the overnight blaze at Badim Hospital and about 90 patients were transferred to other hospitals. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze.
