ఆస్ట్రేలియా ప్రధానిపై గుడ్డుతో మహిళ దాడి

ఆస్ట్రేలియాలోని న్యూ సౌత్​వేల్స్​లో ఆ దేశ ప్రధానిపై ఓ మహిళ గుడ్డుతో దాడి చేసింది. వెంటనే స్పందించిన అధికారులు ఆమెను అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు. మహిళ వద్ద డజనకుపైగా గుడ్లున్నాయని వెల్లడించారు.

ఆస్ట్రేలియా ప్రధానమంత్రి స్కాట్​ మోరిసన్​పై ఓ మహిళ గుడ్డుతో దాడి చేసింది. ఈ ఘటన న్యూ సౌత్​వేల్స్​లోని ఆల్​బురిలో జరిగింది. అధికారులు మహిళను అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు. ఈ దృశ్యాలు సామాజిక మాధ్యమాల్లో వైరల్​ అయ్యాయి.

గుడ్డుతో దాడి చేసిన అనంతరం పారిపోతూ ఓ వృద్ధురాలిని నిందితురాలు ఢీకొంది. వృద్ధురాలు మార్గరేట్​ బాక్స్​టర్​ కిందపడింది. వెంటనే స్పందించిన ప్రధాని మార్గరేట్​కు ఆమెకు సహాయం చేశారు.

ఓటర్లతో మాట్లాడుతుండగా...

ఈ నెల 18న అస్ట్రేలియాలో సాధారణ ఎన్నికలు జరగనున్నాయి. ప్రధాని మోరిసన్​ న్యూ సౌత్​వేల్స్​లో ప్రచార కార్యక్రమానికి హాజరయ్యారు. ఓటర్లతో మాట్లాడుతుండగా... వెనుక నుంచి మహిళ ప్రధాని తలపై గుడ్డు కొట్టింది. పక్కనే ఉన్నవారు ఆశ్చర్యానికి గురయ్యారు. గుడ్డు పగల లేదు.

మహిళ వద్ద డజనుకుపైగా గుడ్లు ఉన్నాయని పోలీసులు వెల్లడించారు.

'తగిన శాస్తి...'

ఈ ఘటనపై నిందితురాలు స్పందించింది. ప్రధాని మోరిసన్​కు తగిన శాస్తి జరిగిందని తెలిపింది. వృద్ధురాలిని గాయపరచాలనుకోలేదని స్పష్టం చేసింది.

ప్రధాని స్పందన...

తనపై జరిగిన దాడిని ఆస్టేలియా ప్రధాని ఖండించారు. వృద్ధురాలి పరిస్థితి పట్ల చింతిస్తున్నట్టు ట్వీట్​ చేశారు. రక్షణ సిబ్బందికి ధన్యవాదాలు తెలిపారు.

"Today we mourn. But we should also be proud, for the colleagues we remember today died in the service of humanity – keeping the peace, providing humanitarian assistance and helping further the Sustainable Development Goals. On this solemn occasion, let us honor their memory by rededicating ourselves to the noble cause of promoting peace, prosperity and opportunity for every woman, man and child on the planet."

The United Nations (UN) held its annual memorial ceremony for fallen staff at its headquarters in New York City on Monday.
This year, a total of 115 colleagues from 43 nations who lost their lives in the line of duty between January 2018 and March this year were honored. Most were involved in peacekeeping, which faces increasingly complex and deadly challenges, while the vast majority - 103 of the 115 - were African peacekeeping staff.
"Today we mourn. But we should also be proud, for the colleagues we remember today died in the service of humanity – keeping the peace, providing humanitarian assistance and helping further the Sustainable Development Goals," UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said at the ceremony.
The UN Secretary-General also paid tribute to the 21 civilians who perished in the Ethiopian air disaster in March, and another 19 from agencies, funds and programs.
"On this solemn occasion, let us honor their memory by rededicating ourselves to the noble cause of promoting peace, prosperity and opportunity for every woman, man and child on the planet," the UN chief said.
Since 2011, the UN Secretariat has held an annual memorial service to honor fallen colleagues.
According to UN statistics, since the founding of the organization, more than 3,600 men and women have lost their lives in its service. From 2013 to 2017, a consistent increase in peacekeeper fatalities due to violent acts resulted in 195 deaths.
