చిలీ వైమానిక దళానికి చెందిన విమానం అదృశ్యమైంది. అందులో 38మంది ఉన్నట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

స్థానిక కాలమానం ప్రకారం సీ-130 విమానం నిన్న సాయంత్రం 4.55గంటలకు పుంటా ఏరినాస్ నగరం నుంచి బయలుదేరింది. అంటార్కిటిక్కు వెళ్తున్నమార్గంలో ఆ విమానంతో సంబంధాలు తెగిపోయినట్లు వైమానిక దళ అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు. ఆచూకీ కనుగొనేందుకు ప్రత్యేక ఆపరేషన్ చేపట్టినట్లు తెలిపారు.

"We had a bilateral meeting (with Putin) and during that bilateral meeting I made it clear that from the German perspective we expect the Russians to cooperate and share the information they have with us. That's what we should expect, our prosecutor has an initial suspicion. Not more or less. That is what I told the Russian President. And I think the Russian side will share information with us, in any event that would be a good thing".

STORYLINE:
French President Emmanuel Macron spoke of the first meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and new Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Monday as "a very positive summit".
Macron served as host to the two leaders in Paris, mediating the talks together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The presidents of Ukraine and Russia agreed to revive the peace process on the bloody separatist conflict in eastern Ukraine and exchange all their prisoners, but failed to resolve crucial issues such as a timeline on local elections and control of the borders in the rebel-held region.
At the first meeting between Zelenskiy and Putin, the two leaders failed to find a compromise to bring an end to the 5-year-old war that has killed 14,000 people, emboldened the Kremlin and reshaped European geopolitics.
But they did agree to try again in four months to find new solutions, said Macron.
The fact that Putin and Zelenskiy met at all was a significant step after years of war.
Putin and Zelenskiy faced each other across the table, flanked by Macron and Merkel.
Putin and Zelenskiy also held a separate one-on-one meeting.
Merkel also spoke about the killing of a Georgian man on the streets of Berlin in August.
German federal prosecutors said evidence suggested the slaying was ordered either by Moscow or authorities in Russia's republic of Chechnya.
