అసోం కరీంగంజ్​ లోక్​సభ నియోజకవర్గంలో ఉద్రిక్తత నెలకొంది. ఈవీఎంల మొరాయింపుపై ఓటర్లు నిరసనకు దిగారు. పోలీసులు ఓటర్లపై లాఠీఛార్జ్ చేశారు.

సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల రెండో దశ పోలింగ్​లో ఈవీఎంల మొరాయింపు కొనసాగుతోంది. అసోం కరీంగంజ్​ లోక్​సభ పరిధిలో ఈవీఎంల మొరాయింపుపై ఓటర్లు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. కడైర్గుల్​ పోలింగ్ కేంద్రం వద్ద ఉదయం నుంచి పోలింగ్​ మొదలుకాలేదు. జోనల్​ అధికారి ముందు ఓటర్లు నిరసన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. వెంటనే ఈవీఎంలు మార్చాలని కోరారు.

ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేస్తోన్న ఓటర్లపై పోలీసులు లాఠీఛార్జ్ చేశారు. పోలింగ్ కేంద్రం వద్ద ఉద్రిక్త పరిస్థితులు నెలకొన్నాయి. ఓటర్లు భయంతో పరుగులు తీశారు. ఈ విషయంపై ఈసీ ఇంకా స్పందించలేదు.
