అమెరికా-చైనా వాణిజ్య చర్చలు, ఆసియా మార్కెట్ల నుంచి సానుకూల సూచనలు ఫలితంగా దేశీయ స్టాక్మార్కెట్లు లాభాలతో ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. వాహనరంగం, బ్యాంకింగ్ షేర్ల భారీ కొనుగోళ్లతో ఈక్విటీ బెంచ్మార్క్ బీఎస్ఈ సెన్సెక్స్ 176.84 పాయింట్లు లాభపడి 37 వేల 863 వద్ద కొనసాగుతోంది. జాతీయ స్టాక్ ఎక్స్ఛేంజ్ నిఫ్టీ 49 పాయింట్లు వృద్ధి చెంది 11 వేల 238 వద్ద ట్రేడవుతోంది.

లాభాల్లో

టాటాస్టీల్, ఐసీఐసీఐ బ్యాంకు, భారతీ ఎయిర్టెల్, ఎమ్ అండ్ ఎమ్, వేదాంత లిమిటెడ్, సన్ఫార్మా, బజాజ్ ఫైనాన్స్, టాటా మోటార్స్, యాక్సిస్ బ్యాంక్, మారుతి (సుమారు 1.54 శాతం) లాభాలతో కొనసాగుతున్నాయి.

నష్టాల్లో

హెచ్యూఎల్, ఐటీసీ, ఎన్టీపీసీ, కోటక్ బ్యాంకు, హీరో మోటోకార్ప్ (0.66 శాతం) నష్టాల్లో ట్రేడవుతున్నాయి.

సానుకూల పవనాలు

ప్రపంచంలోనే రెండు అతిపెద్ద ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థలు అమెరికా-చైనాల మధ్య ఇవాళ వాణిజ్యచర్చలు పునఃప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. అయితే బుధవారం జరగనున్న యూఎస్ ఫెడరల్ రిజర్వ్ సమావేశానికి ముందు మదుపర్లు ఆచితూచి వ్యవహరిస్తుండగా లాభాల జోరు పరిమితంగా ఉంది.

STORYLINE:
The utility blamed for a series of gas explosions in Massachusetts has settled all class action lawsuits resulting from the disaster for $143 million.
Columbia Gas of Massachusetts and its parent, NiSource Inc., announced the settlement Monday.
The series of explosions last Sept. 13 in Lawrence, Andover and North Andover killed one, injured two dozen and left thousands of homes and businesses without natural gas service for weeks.
The explosions were blamed on over-pressurization in a gas pipeline.
The agreement is subject to court approval, but some Lawrence residents are already expressing skepticism over whether the settlement will make them whole again.
Convenience store owner Eusebio Hernandez says he has seen a dramatic decline in foot traffic into his store since the explosion.
He says this is after hundreds of residents were forced to evacuate their homes for weeks immediately after the blasts, causing some to also decide to move out of town.
"To make me whole again, as a business owner, is for Columbia Gas to help us get the foot traffic back into our businesses. Help us with the advertisement, financially also," he said.
Hernandez believes that the settlement is more beneficial to Columbia Gas as the company is released from class action lawsuits, but does not do anything for businesses like his that have been struggling for months and will continue to try to recover after the explosions.
"I believe Columbia Gas will get way more out of this than hat they're puting out," Hernandez said.
Lawrence resident Henry Allen expressed similar sentiment during a separate interview.
"And that's just, you know, the way it is what most big companies," Allen said. "If they can just do just enough to take care some people or, you know, make it look good, certain things will go away. So, I mean, that's just not only with Columbia Gas – these other companies that, I mean, other companies have done it too. BP. You know? Lots of other companies have done it too."
